I am sore today in the arms/shoulders. I am supposed to Lean 3 tomorrow, but I may do burn it off / recharge and save Lean 3 for Saturday since Sunday is a rest day too. I am not as sore today as I was though after Lean 1.

well I did the burn intervals last night, it was a very good workout although I felt very uncordinated with some of the exercises, also couldn't go as long as they did but I really liked the workout. I can feel it in my legs today.

Push Circuit 1 done. Added Ab Burner. Going to take a hot bath. I am really feeling tighter all over especially in arms. Will not look at scale today since PMS and muscle soreness combo will not be an inspiration for me!

How are you all doing?

I did Get Lean Intervals (from Disc 7) and I've Got Abs this morning. My abs are sooooooo weak! I can barely get my shoulders off the floor -- and definitely can't do roll-ups.

3Tikes, on another board some people changed the order to Lean 3, 1, 2 -- separated the shoulder work in 3 and 2. Maybe that would help?

Thanks for the tip, I am going to talk with husband about switching them up. I was really surprised that there was so much shoulder work in Lean 3 since there is so much in 2. My shoulders were screaming last night. Suprisingly, I am not nearly as sore today.

I had to laugh at myself last night, my DH also thought it was pretty funny too. In Lean 3, you do push-up/side planks (push-up, right side plank, push-up, left side plank, etc) right after an intense shoulder set. Much to my surprise I did 10, I failed on the left side plank...when down like a ton of bricks

I have been sidelined with the flu and a stomach bug but plan to get back on track since Chalean works for me. I had been using 2 cds of my friend but my husband ordered the set for my birthday. Looking forward to getting back on track.

I did burn circuit 2 last night I was still very sore from the last 2 days and am thinking that I should have taken last night off as I had a harder time doing the workout. I also kept waking up last night as I was still very sore, do you guys take anything to offset the soreness? TIA

I do, I take Tylenol. The other day I did Lean 2 for the first time- I got in the shower and could hardly lift my arms - I knew I'd be sore so as soon as I got out I took some Tylenol and then again before bed. It did help, I have no soreness today, but tomorrow is Lean 3!

I take Advil instead of Tylenol -- I find it better on body aches (as opposed to headaches, where Tylenol does a better job).

Hot baths are great, too! Also, massage from the hubby. And, having him do all of the household stuff for the night, while you relax on the sofa -- I think that's somewhere in the CLX guidebook . . .

Today I did Push 3 -- I only used 25s and 30s, plus my weighted vest. My arms are wobbly!

Thanks for the info. My hubby is usually in bed before I am done as he gets up really early for work but I will make sure that he knows that I should be resting and him do the housework lol.

I second the hubby massage! I cannot take advil due to medical issues - but I agree, I think it is better, it is supposed to help swelling better. I just finished fatburn and recharge. UGH, I hate cardio. I am also having a really whiny day, I haven't lost weight in a few weeks either, I am having thyroid issues. I am also not eating enough veggies.

Porkfat, I cannot look at Skip anymore thanks to you......he is constantly talking! LOL! And I have to laugh at how I look in my mismatched outfits and no makeup compared to all of them! I think if I ever get back to goal weight, I'm gonna treat myself to one of Chaleans outfits - the website was somewhere!

I take prescription strength Ibuprofen when I am really sore...which is a lot

LOL, ditto on Skip

I am procrastinating...today is BOI and recharge. I just don't feel like doing cardio. Yesterday was a rest day but went to the gym and did some light cardio, leg work and push-ups.

I caught a tough of Lisa's stomach bug -- does it travel through the internet? -- I was nauseous all afternoon yesterday (luckily, it started after I got my Push 3 workout in!)

Today was supposed to be cardio, but I'm going to take it easy -- I'm not really sick, but I just can't face having my stomach bounced around! I'll swap today for tomorrow -- have a rest day today, cardio tomorrow.

As for Skip -- you guys are too funny! Aside from that one kiss-butt statement, he doesn't bug me too much. I find his whooping cute. You know who's really getting on my nerves? DONNA!! She was fine in Burn, but in Push she's really annoying!! Take away her microphone! Let Chalene lead, and quick sticking in those little cheerleader comments -- "Let's go, guys!" "We can do one more!" "Go, Chalene!" "We can do this!" She's irritating the heck out of me.

Hope you feel better Porkfat!

I have to sadly say - I despise the Lean Circuits. It is a TON of shoulder work which I do stink at....I know it will get better but UGH! I still don't think there is enough leg work in there either. I almost failed at the second set of push ups (yes, that's 24 pushups plus breakdown) on my freakin' knees! I can barely pick up my water glass, luckily it has a straw so I can balance it on the table and just move my head.

What are you guys gonna do when it's over - will you do the lean for life phase, a whole other program, or redo it from Burn?

3Tikes - if you don't think you are working your legs enough add some leg exercises from Push but target 10-12 reps instread of 6-8. I did some at the gym on my rest day ...my butt has been on fire ever since (bowler lunges)

She kills you with shoulders that is for sure but I will tell ya...I am starting to love the way my shoulders look. I really noticed it yesterday. It has been a long time since I could see my collar bones.

You know, I will do some squats and lunges. Why didn't I think of that? I do notice that from my neck, there is a muscle, then a nice dip, then a nicer shoulder. I felt really inadequate today though!!! I just got out of the shower, and I notice my butt and hammies are a little sore, but I think that's from FatBurn Challenge.

I have days like that too It seems like I am sore ALL the time. Some days are worse than others. Even though the scale isn't showing much, I can tell I am shrinking. My pants are getting loser, I am now on the middle hook of my 36 bra's and almost ready for the last hook, my shirts are hanging and for the first time in about 20 years I am starting to like the way my upper thighs are looking. Still have a ways to go but I might actually make it into a pair of shorts by summer

I forgot to answer this My DH and I are going to give P90X a shot. I am little scared but I felt the same way about CLX and now I only have two weeks left. I am pretty certain that I will come back to CLX eventually. Maybe rotate the two, 1 round P90X, 1 round CLX.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the board but I've been reading (lurking) for a while. Next week will be my last week in the push phase. Once I complete lean, I don't plan to do the lean for life phase, I'm going directly to p90x. I just got p90x today so I'm really ready, but I will complete CLX because I love the program. I've also ordered the fat burn challenge because I didn't order the deluxe program initially.

Also you all are so funny talking about Skip. When I first started the program, I thought to myself, will he just shut up, he talks too much. Once I began enjoying the program I tuned him out. Now I am beginning to pay more attention to Donna but I guess I will leave her alone because she can do push ups and I still can't. For the life of me I can't do the tricep push ups.

Welcome!! I did Lean Circuit 1 this evening, I failed on the 3rd tricep push-up. I am in awe of Donna's push-up abilities

I second the welcome Poopiedo! I loved the push phase - the lean phase, not so much -yet! It's hard!

Nikismom - Donna is great at those! Up above I deemed her my new hero when I did Lean 1.

Today is my off day. My hamstrings are pretty sore, my shoulders are okay. Confuses me because the workout in Lean 3 is a ton of shoulder. There is a hamstring deadlift and I was spot on form because I love working legs. That's probably why they are sore.

Welcome, Poopiedo!

Today was cardio day -- I did Kelly Coffey-Myers 30 Minutes to Fitness Kickboxing, plus the Abs add-on. I really got my heart rate up, sweat everywhere!!! (and, no burpees . . . heh heh heh!)

Morning, ladies!

Third week of Push started today -- I did Push 1. Those "W" bicep curls -- I hate 'em! I feel so strong on a regular bicep curl, and that turning-out modification just kills me!

Things-that-make-you-roll-your-eyes moment: As I was putting my weights away, I just let the DVD keep running. There was an ad for Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer. So, it goes, "This program works for models who want to get in the best shape possible!", and a model says, "This is for people who want to lean out, without bulking up."(curling her lip and looking disgusted at the word "bulking") Of course, this is five minutes after Chalene finished her rant about how WE WOMEN CAN'T BULK UP BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE TESTOSTERONE like Skip does, isn't that great, yada yada. Hey Beachbody, get your story straight, OK?

I did Lean 2 today. I actually liked it better than last week. I am going to do:

M- Lean 2
T- Burn Intervals/Abs
W-off (abs hopefully)
H- Lean 1
F-Burn It Off/Recharge
S-Lean 3
Su-off

I also have to take back my comment regarding not working legs enough: today Lean 2 had some nice legwork in it!! The push phase is still my favorite though. I can't remember the burn phase as much - age is eating my memory.

Where is ladybeloved??

Tues--Burn Intervals/ Extreme Abs
Wed--Push II/ 30 Day Shred Level 1

Great job, ladies!

I had to take last week off - my son and I got sick, but I'm back on track and started Push today. Owie! I was going to clean my house this week, over a few days, but after working out this morning, decided I better do it all today in case I can't lift my arms tomorrow LOL
