Red River Cereal on BFBM?
Hi Everyone!!Do you know if I can have red river crereal if I am following this plan? It is a flax and cracked wheat hot ceral . I know we can have oatmeal. I just DL the ebook and am making my way through it,. It is a little hard to get my head around some of the foods after the low carb lifestyle although I never cut out fruits and before going backl on induction (Atkins) I had whole grains. Also going low fat is totaly different from Atkins and although I didnt eat alot of fatty foods I used butter , mayo , ect. I think the BFBM makes sense and I am trying to follow it faithfully. I havent figured out the Hi Low yet but still reading .Also the 6 meals still screw me up. I am more of a lurker than poster but am going to try and post on here more. Some of you girls are big inspirations to me. You look great. I am 47 and 140 lbs but working on getting lean Thanks everyone |

You can work almost anything into a plan but I would watch for fat content (cereal usually is low) and sugar content. If you feel like posting the breakdown for it go for it.
Think of the 6 small meals like you are feeding a fire....small frequent meals keep your engine running alot better then big clunky logs on a fire! p.s. nothing wrong with healthy fats. I have almonds, walnuts, Full Fat cheddar cheese and salmon on my plans. |

Thanks Star
I was under the impression that BFBM called for low fat cheese , ect. The Red River has150 cal 2.5 fat sat .1 trans0 carbs 28 fibre 6 sugar 0 protein 6 I will try to get all 6 meals in a day just hard to get a starchy and simple carb plus protein in each. I guess a fruit with the red river or oatmeal or toast and maybe some protein powder? |

That looks like decent cereal to me .....are you having milk with it or dry? Don't forget egg whites/1egg for protein sources for breakfast too.
Yep oatmeal every morning here with berries! It has been a while since I read thru BFFM besides the goal setting chapter in August. It is all about the calories in and creating a deficit at the end of the day but my trainer lets us have full fat HARD cheddar not the processed stuff.
