Woohoo!

I did my second BGB workout today. I feel great. I've also changing my schedule and doing some intervals on leg days and taking the next day off completely. This way, I'm still getting in most of the cardio I originally planned, plus getting an extra day off altogether. I might drop the Turbo Jam day if my coordination doesn't kick in by the fourth week

I do like this split very much!!

Spring in here!!! It feels great to get the kids and myself outside for a bit.

Things are going really well. My eats have been really good and workouts are on target. For once I have no complaints!

Donna thanks for starting us off! How are you doing? If I remember your mom was sick for a while. How is she doing??

Becky...I am glad its working for you. I too feel like I found something that works for me. Its a great high.. I am going to ride the wave until I have to tweak.

Hi to all that follow! Lets hear how everyone is doing.

Thought I would jump in here and say hello.

I am a firm believer in muscles and although I am not following BFFM I did want to post and give encouragment.

I have same trainer as Ileen and am enjoying my journey of losing weight even if it is breaking my piggy bank to buy new clothes.

My eating has been great so far this week. I won't be getting my full workouts in until my ankle is healed. I am doing what I can w/weights but no cardio.

I like chicken breast and brown rice. Or chicken in a tortilla. Or tuna patties on a potato roll. Simple, boring but it gives me something to look forward to. I need to start being more strict about eating my starches around my workouts. It's one of the reasons I switched from a 3 day FBWO to the 4 day spit - so I could have more high carb days

Hi Everyone I just wanted to pop in and say HI. It is spring here to (almost) and I have been doing a lot of running & running around with the kids. I have not been doing hardly any weights and I am starting to feel saggy! Time to re-evaluate the goals. Have a great weekend!

Today was a make-up day for me. So we did mainly biceps and triceps plus abs.

I've only been doing small short workouts for the last couple of weeks due to my ankle. So today was doing stuff that we've been short changing. Hopefully the week after next we will be able to return to my normal workout schedule.

Does anyone here find that thighs respond to muscle building quicker than arms or the other way?

I have muscle on the outer arm and top but inner upper arm is still flabby w stretchy skin too.

Thighs seem to have responded better. Just wondered if anyone else experienced anything like this?

Heck YEAH! I'm in the same place that you are Susan - bi's and tri's look good (and I love the definition), but gawd forbid I extend my arms in a "relaxed" position. For me, some of those 'batwings' are definitely the result of overstretching the skin when I was heavier, but perhaps it's also due to the lack of muscle that should fill that space up.

Now my legs are another matter. While I've never been heavy through my legs, I quickly see more definition when I add 'legs' to my routine. My girlfriend always comments that when I wear shorts, she never sees any cellulite. "Blame my mom!" I tell her...at 74, she doesn't have any either!!!

While I agree that it is definitely MORE difficult to build up my arms, for whatever reason, I too would like to know if my thinking is correct.

Hey everyone else! Sorry that I haven't been around much. Way too much to do around here and I've been busy 'putting out fires' with family and friends. Eating is good, exercise has been spotty, but at least I'm getting it in, weight is still up a few lbs. I'm hoping that the extra work around the yard and becoming more physical here will help me to dump that weight. From what I remember, spring and summer is a really busy time so I'll be checking in from time to time.

Hope you are all doing well with the program and that you drop by to say .

Waving to everyone here and all that follow...

Thanks Donna, for your reply...so the arms are a toughie huh? I guess I'll be hiding them all summer in longer sleeved shirts, the capped tees are not good on me I need the longer sleeve.

At least we can wear shorts huh?

Been working more these days. I am off tomorrow so may be able to get to my Ex. Class hope so she has a good routine.

Waving to all,

Susan

Hi guys!!!! I've missed checking in here . . . wedding is only 3 days away, and I am pretty busy. But I wanted to let you all know how great I feel, how great I look (I know, I know, but I really do look the best I've ever looked, thanks to 12 pounds of fat loss since January!) and it's all because of the love, advice, knowledge and support that I have gotten here over the past months and year, really. THANK YOU! from the bottom of my heart. I bought a size six dress yesterday for the rehearsal dinner at Lord and Taylor, I LOVE it, and I weighed in at 147 this morning.

Without you guys, I would not feel half as beautiful as I do today. I will look back on my wedding pictures all my life and remember that you all helped me to look my fittest, and my happiest. That's what's most imporant, I know. But I have struggled and conquered the fat loss demons (well, mastered how to manage them for the rest of my life) and I am proud of myself.

I will think of you all when I am on the beach in Jamaica on Monday afternoon. In the meantime, sorry I can not catch up now, but I hope you are all doing well with your fat loss/muscle building. Keeping at it, not ever, never, ever giving up is the key.

My love and thanks,
Jammer
PS Post honeymoon, I''ll be back more, and I promise will post a bikini pic! Oh my.
