How do you buy an on-line book.

This may sound silly,

I know you are just supposed to follow the instructions and just go with it, but this will be my first time buying an e-book so but I'm a bit hesitant.

Could someone tell me, after I fill out the details and credit card etc, how does the book come to me. Do I get something in e-mail and if so what, or do I go to a link, and if so, what happens if my system goes down in the middle of the transaction.

I've never ordered anything that didn't have a phone number where I could reach a human.

It will either be emailed to you or via a link. You should be able to go back to the link from your purchase confirmation email. It's pretty easy.

Right, I'm sure it is, if everything works.....(I guess I'm asking what happens if something goes wrong)

...what happens if the system goes down in the middle of my download, do I get another chance?

.... what happens if I complete my credit card info, but never get an e-mail with the link you talk about?

...or if I get called away and have to get back to it a few days later, how long do I have to do the download?

I think the above would be very basic information that any first time user would want to know, but I can't find this anywhere.

If anyone has more technical details I would really appreciate. If not, I'll stick to the tried and true print books.

What e-book are you trying to buy?

Different sites will have different terms of service, but I'd guess you should have access to the book whenever, as long as you keep the confirmation email. If your system goes down in the middle of the download, you should still have access from your confirmation email. If you don't get a confirmation email or the file directly via email, dispute with your credit card company.

That's what I was afraid of.

Vendor doesn't provide a contact phone number or e-mail address, so if anything goes wrong it becomes my problem,... and the credit card companies will only tell me that I have to straighten it out with the vendor, since the vendor has the 3 digits on the back of the card.......Little details, I guess it doesn't matter to most people, its not a lot of money....still....

The book is BFFM, but I think I will try and hunt down Body Rx if I can still find it, or else just follow Ten Years Thinner.

I've never heard of anyone having a problem getting the bffm book. Tom has a contact page:

I've used the contact page to send a question and received an automatic e-mail, which included a userid and password and I was assigned a priority of low, which is all ok and good.

However, I'm not sure if I will get another e-mail when the query is handled or if I need to keep signing on to his site to see if I have an answer yet. I guess I'll find out sooner or later.

Good to know everyone is so up on him and this board is so active.

Everytime I've ordered an e-book the receipt always contains contact info in case of a problem... like when I was trying to download combat core strength on monday. The page where the link was located after purchase did not work so I e-mailed the author and he sent me access to another page where I could download it within an hour and it downloaded after that without a hitch. He even followed up to make sure I had been able to access his materials.

I've never had an issue but only download from reputable sources. Tom is very reputable and the book is fantastic. Well worth the price... and IMO would be worth twice the price.

I can hardly wait.

So instead of ordering on-line and printing the whole thing out and ending up with a huge binder, I will wait for this. Best of Luck to Tom, I bet there are a lot of people who prefer print-books to e-books and will rush to buy his book, even if it's not as complete as BFFM. I'm sure it will be a best seller!
