jodi read the links

if you can do xx amt or goal reps, then its time to increase the wt. Dont lift to failure and close enough that you can probably do 1 or two more.

Twyla, that is awesome!

:woohoo: jammer!

WOW!!! Lots of good news to go around here.

Jammer: A big Hooooooooorahhhhhhhhhhh to you!

Jodi: Glad to hear that you're doing so well.

Twyla: The BFFM program is so basic, but speaks so loudly to those that will listen, how can you help but be proud!

Spring must be in the air; seems like my energy is picking up. Maybe it's the amount of sun we're getting now that it doesn't get dark until after 6:30....WooooooooooHooooooooo!

Went to Oshkosh today with DH and got a tour of Utica Energy's ethanol manufacturing plant. I've never seen so much corn in my life! It really was fascinating.

Food is good (as always) and I'm still working on improving my stamina. Ya know, it's really true: Use it or LOSE it! I know mine isn't completely lost...just hiding, I think!

Later all!

Okay. . okay. . . LIPOSUCTION! Just kidding.

I think it's the new workout, Baby Got Back. That and finishing up the progestin I was on. And watching my weight go up and down, up and down for weeks, until I finally am seeing more down down. I don't know I think it's just my turn! Actually, incredible amounts of wedding/moving stress, and getting less sleep? Cuz that's what's really been going on the past week.

Time for bed, I am pooped. May one of you get my whoosh streak tomorrow morning!

JAMMMER - - You are the ONE!

Twyla - How awesomely cool to help out DS on his journey - you are one cool mom!

Donna - yep spring is on the way ...

Everyone else!!!

Work is craaaaaaaaazy busy lately, so I hardly have time to post anywhere ... almost. Have a sinus pressure headache today, but think with the lighter evening and the 45 Deg outside I'm going to push myself for a short run with DH... HAVE to really start the cardio going or the excess fat on my butt/hips is not going anywhere... And I will NOT starve myself to get it gone

I'm taking a week off from logging in FitDay, but eating my regular "good" foods ... brown rice farina, hard boiled eggs, ground turkey, LF cottage cheese, berries, yogurt. ...

OHhhh - Finally got to try FAGE yogurt ... pretty good, but takes a lot of doctoring to get the nice sweet taste I like ... A tip: It's FANTASTIC in mashed potatoes instead of milk or sour cream

ok - one more thing to do and I get to go home! Wooo hooo Happy BFFM everyone

GO BGB!!! Tomorrow is Quad Dominate for me

Doing more work has been a challenge to keep the eating and exercise under control.

I had a day off today so eating back on track and got 1 hours Exercise class done at the gym, so pleased with that.

Working tomorrow and half a day Sunday.

Happy Sunday Morning. It sound like everyone is doing well.

I am doing really well. I joined weight watchers with my mom a couple of weeks ago. For the first time in a very long time I feel free and happy. It has really simplfied my life. I am also suprising not hungry!!! I do not feel tied to the computer and figuring out calories/carbs ect ect. I have set points in a day and when I work out I fuel my workouts. My mom and I go together. Its been alot of fun hanging out with her. I am eating lean meats and complex carbs. I guess you can say I have taken the principles of bffm and applied it to WW point system. I am not eating any crap but having one higher day with extra point that I do get in a week.

Jammer! WTG!! Staying focused has payed off. Its your turn
girlfriend.

One more thing I really wanted to share with you gals. When I did go and sign up for WW I had been a member when I was 9 years old. (All my life I have had weight issues) I did make what they call lifetime membership. My goal weight when I was 9 was 129 they had me in the computer! I cried when I heard that. I had to tell the girl that I was below that #now.

Jodi Girl!!!!! What a GREAT story! I am so glad for you...this might just be the "fit" you need. Forget about the whole "name" thing. You have really been beating yourself up trying to fit into a specific box so perhaps this will take you where you need to go.

The good news is that you have an excellent foundation to build upon. Lean meats and complex carbs is what any good nutrition program is all about.

Hi Everyone!

Yes...I've been quite absent lately, but mostly because working on the house seems like a never-ending story which I won't bore you with... But I've been lurking...posting on the other boards here and there when I have a spare moment.

I have been getting in my cardio but am anxiously awaiting nicer weather so that I can head outdoors! NO...I don't think I'm in any danger of becoming a runner or anything, just looking forward to getting out.

Food is good and that is a GOOD thing since we've been having more than our share of guests lately... I think everyone here in Wisconsin needs a reason to get out of their homes and what better way than to go visiting !

Jammer: Your progress over the past few months has been amazing. Forget about blaming it all on the stress of planning a wedding. How 'bout...you've just finally got things figured out?

Marci: I TOTALLY understand busy!!!!!

Susan: You are one dedicated lady.

Rachel: Spring is around the corner...how are you doing?

Becky: I see from your stats that the BGB program is working for ya!

Ileen, Deanna, Lori and Twyla:
Hope you guys are doing great.

Keep strong everyone!

Built's program is working well. I love the lifting. I do have some issues with food, but I've been clean all week! Sundays are the worst, though.

I finally sat down and planned out how I'll do BGB proper. I've been doing the fully body stuff. I was debating whether or not I actually wanted to do BGB now, or wait until I lost a little more. But I'm starting April - well, crap. I just looked at the calendar and I originally planned to start after my inlaws visit. But that would but my start date on April 22. Tomorrow is my off day. Tuesday is the first. Hmmm...

I already planned out my workouts. There's no reason not to start Tuesday. Right?

How does this look?

Day 1
rack pull - 5x5 @ 73
lying barbell row - 3x8 @ 32
barbell press - 5x5 @ 37
dumbbell flyes - 3x8 @ 15

Day 2
front squat - 5x5 @ 37
split squat - 3x8 @ 12
SHELC - 3x8
bicep curls - 3x8 @ 22

Day 3
cardio video & Turbo Jam ab jam

Day 4
lat pull - 5x5 @ 73
barbell pullover - 3x8 @ 22
military dumbbell press - 5x5 @ 25
side lat raise - 3x8 @ 15

Day 5
romanian deadlift - 5x5 @ 73
good mornings - 3x8 @ 12
walking lunges - 3x8 @ 20
skull crushers - 3x8 @ 22

Day 6
cardio video & Turbo Jam ab jam

Some of these exercises I’ve never done before, so I’m not quite sure what weights to start with. Hopefully, I’ll be able to add more weight right away and find my groove by Week 2!! I can’t wait to start. I’m half tempted to go to D*ck’s Sporting Goods right now and buy more weights and a pull up bar. But it's 90 minutes away.

Oh, and I know abs should be done on a weight day, and cardio should be running or biking or HIIT, but I'm really sick of cardio machines, and I have to work out at home.

I'm struggling to get on and stay on my trainer's eating plan. I don't have a problem with the weights or cardio. Actually I love working out! Not sure why I can't get in the right frame of mind.

Pleiades: WTG with eating this week! I think Tuesday sounds great!!!

rvcook: I am with ya on being ready for the nicer weather! I know I can't wait to do some biking and hiking outside.

jkat: Congrats on being under your previous goal weight for weight watchers! I think that is great that you are doing this with your mom! My mom works out with me at the gym some and I love it!!

mmam: Hope you are feeling better!

susan: Hi there!

Hey Rachel..... Stuggling to find your way.
I am glad the workouts are on track. Is TOM near?? Do you like the diet the trainer gave you?

thanks for the hugs!!

I am so glad that my workouts are on track or else I'd be in a world of trouble. I think my problem is I am having a REAL hard time seeing the # go up on the scale but I can't seem to stay away from it either. I do like my trainer's eating plan so that isn't the problem. My trainer tells me that I have to decide which # I want to go by; either the # on the scale or the body fat #. He says I'm too lean to have both.

WOW Becky...6 days of exercise!!! You are one DETERMINED gal! Ileen or Marci would be the ones to critique your workout, but one thing I do see is that you are NOT doing too much cardio...which is really good. Hopefully they'll be along sometime soon. Otherwise, why not post the workout in the main Muscle Matters board. I'll bet you'll get lots of critique there.

Rachel: STOP obsessing about the scale #. It is ONLY a guide and NOT a representation of all your hard work. If your trainer has provided you with a nutritious food plan and you are increasing your workouts, you're bound to see some gain, but remember, unless you're eating well over your maintenance level, you are in little danger of packing on the lbs.

Hasn't your trainer explained the concepts of 'bulking' and 'cutting' to you? Although most newbies do experience weight loss and some muscle building in the beginning, it is usually short lived.

Try to keep your eye on your goals and you will be much happier in the long run ;-).

I work out 6 days a week anyway, 3 weights, 3 cardio right n
