I started BFFM a week ago today, I love it-
I have almost everything down to a fine science Except carbs My fat % is still higher then I like but I know how I can reduce that I added in Oatmeal, more broccoli, more lettuce, more asparagus, more strawberries, Fiber One, more tomatos etc Fitday shows my carb count today at 61 total w/ 21 fiber --I know I need to bring that up but stomach can only hold so much food at one time. I eat every 3 hours and I'm never hungry in-bewteen. What do you do you your stomach is full and you haven't even ate the whole meal? I measure and weigh everything, my dilima is how do I get in more carbs w/o "stuffing" myself rather fourcing it?

When you're adding a sinificant amount of calories/carbs to your plan, it is usually easier to increase slowly. I've increased overnight before and it was more difficult to eat all the food than it was when done over a period of time. Either way will work but if you do it all at once you have to force yourself to eat even when you're not hungry. A week or so of doing this and your body will adjust; you'll find yourself hungry & able to eat with no problem. Many seem to add carbs in very very slowly though, much slower than is really necessary, IMHO. I think that is mostly fear rather than what is actually necessary.

![]() When I was adding carbs I was felt so stuffed it made me feel sick. When I was having trouble finishing a meal I would take about a five minute break then try to finsh it. Right now my carb intake is around 100 grams and I've settle in at this level for now. Your doing great adding in the right kinds of carbs. Good luck with BFFM...it's a great program! Thanks DiamondDeb - that's what I will do, I will gradually increase the portion size of the carbs and I'll change from strawberries to other fruits for breakfeast and that should bring up my carb %
I'm not scared of good healthy carbs being gradually added back, actually I am glad. I have lost 1 inch in my waist - in one week and I have not had any dizzy spells since I started BFFM If it makes sense I do feel much more leaner. |
