I was so sad to hear of Kevinpa's recent passing. He taught me a lot, and that's saying a lot, since I am a not a good or experienced cook, lol. He was so patient!

I used to have his website bookmarked, but when I went to find it, it was no longer there, which was a little upsetting because even though I know we have a list of his recipe links in a sticky, there were some on the site that I'd never seen here.

So I was happy to finally find it on an archive site. If you're interested, I'll try to paste the link in the next post down, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed. Otherwise, just google "wayback machine" and paste in his website address on the wayback site. You'll find a version of his site there from 2007.

I have to tell you, that this man changed the way I look at eating and cooking lowcarb. I am so happy that his contribution to the lowcarb community has been preserved.

drj, I clicked on Recipes on that page, and it took me to a "menu" of the recipes. Then when I click on the recipe, it comes up in a new window. (Probably might be tab depending on how your browser is set up.) When I click on a different recipe, it uses that same "new" window to open it.

I do so miss Kevin.

I only tried opening a couple, and they came up. I guess some aren't in the archives,,, obviously.
With the name, you may be able to come over here & do a search for it. I bet most will be on here somewhere.

I would imagine a couple of years, but since there won't be any more updates to the site, I wouldn't count on it.

If you use Firefox, you can save pages directly to your computer, or even use a plugin (I use one called "Scrapbook Plus") to download the site. I'm not sure which other web browsers do the same.

Yeah, since there won't be any updates, I'm afraid it might be deleted sooner.

I rather think that is actually what might have happened to his original site. There hadn't been any updates on it since Aug 09. (I had checked it out several times before it "locked"). And if he was having to "buy" the site, he or his family probably hadn't paid it up. Just a guess there tho.

Thanks for telling me about the Scrapbook Plus plug in. I'll check it out.

I did find a recipe on there earlier tonight, that is not in here. He did mention on one post that he was working on it, but never came back & posted it. (chocolate cranberry pie) I haven't really had the time to check out too many of the recipes over on that site. I need to try to check more of them out tomorrow.

I just went through the whole site and compiled all of the recipes that are in the archive. Here is a list of the ones that appear to be missing. If anyone is able to access any of these or knows of a link to them here at LCF, please let cheri know since she is an admin and can move his recipes to where they need to go. I'd love to have a complete archive of his recipes if I can. I do have one recipe of Kevin's that wasn't on his site but it's probably posted here somewhere. I've got all of the photos that he posted with that recipe too. It's called "CITRUS-GLAZED COFFEE CAKE". I'd saved it as a text file but never got around to making it.

This afternoon I've been working my way through all of Kevin's recipe lists in the Sticky Threads and copying them to a text file. I'm also saving all of the photos.
