I want to try these wings this week. Maybe Sunday if the Browns make the playoffs! I've been trying to figure out how to make spicy garlic wings, for variety. Any suggestions on a marinade that's spicy, but not a red sauce, with lots of garlic? BTW, my wings are never crispy, I am looking forward to some good ones!

Hmmmmm, what comes to mind to me for spicy garlic but no red? Toss the wings in some olive oil, melted butter, pressed garlic (lots of it) and red pepper flakes before baking (and after too!). Maybe some italian dried spices too. Sounds yum ! Might try it some day. But I just LUV franks....

Thanks Lisa, I'll try that. I love the redhot sauce too, lately I've been using it more. Just the smell makes me hungry! But then I can wash my hands over and over and still hurt myself taking my contacs out!

I also did what Magnamater suggested and made a spicy eggdrop soup with the leftover stock. Just added some extra chicken broth and buollion, the leftover marinade, a little soy sauce, vinegar, chopped green onions, small can mushrooms - heated it, and then drizzled in my slightly beaten egg. To die for!! Will definitely do this again!

First, Kevin that picture of your grandbaby is absolutely adorable.

Second, thanks for this recipe. I was going to make them for superbowl but then decided to treat inauguration day as a superbowl sort of day too. Everyone loved these wings - even my wing nuts who normally won't touch a wing unless it's battered and fried.

What I loved about them more than anything was how moist they were. Normally you NEED some sort of dip with wings because they're on the dry side. These you could just eat off the pan.

Kevin, I was so pleased to see your recipe and even more pleased with the results when I tried it today. This is definitely a keeper. Finally, a recipe that is a hit with all my family (everyone is a low carber).

bekki1, how did they turnout? I made them for Christmas day and loved them! My son and I went through about 40 wings in the afternoon watching movies. I thought that I made enough for lunch the next day but we couldnt stop eating them.

I usually fry mine in oil, but this looks so much better. Chicken broth is also cheaper than oil! We are wing nuts around here.
