I was wondering if these squash need refrigeration because at the store they're in the middle section of the produce section or is that area cold, too?

Hi Wine2 ~ I asked the produce fella the other day when I was in buying some Sweet Dumpling Squash. He said to wrap each squash in a paper bag and to set them out in the garage.
He said the fridge is too humid for the squash. You want them cool and dry. The bag helps keep them dry. So - that's where mine all are now. *Ü* |

I'm making this for dinner..gosh..I had my squash in the fridge, but will get out my paper bags..
I think I will add some green pepper to this, too. Kevin: See..you didn't even need to do this 4 languages, like all the other instructions we get.. A picture paints 1,000 words. |

Hi there,
I have been browsing here for a while now. I had never heard of this squash until I saw some of your recipes. I got one last week. I cut it up like that and just fried it in butter till it browned. I am telling you all, it is the best tasting squash I have ever tried. Kevin, Thank you for all your recipes!! I will definitely eat this again. |
