Okey dokey. Thanks, Kevin. I was missing that in my frosting too, the sugary feel. Will have to get some polyd then for next time.

in case you did not see this thread I used it in these.
Whipped Cream Icing filled Squash Cookies

No floury taste because, just like in a white sauce or "cream" sauce, the flour/starch is cooked through until all of it changes state (thickens the mixture).

Great adaptation, Kevin!

Hi Kevin,

I guess I am still a little confused when you list this ingredient (in an icing...cookie...or any recipe) as:

1 cup equivilent splenda (1/4 t. sweetzfree)

If you are no longer using sweetzfree, then is it a liquid splenda equivalent that you are using?.

No, I think the liquid part is throwing you off. Think about how much liquid 1/4 teaspoon is(hardly anything to worry about). Originaly it was used to keep the carb count down but with splenda quick pack being so low in carbs, I find it more convienient to use those.

OK, thanks! So in this case for the 1 cup sweetener you'd use a splenda quick pack? And if I don't have the splenda quick packs, what do I use?

Whatever sweetener you use that equals the same amount of sweetness. There is enough liquid and fat in this recipe to disolve whichever you choose. Just remember to adjust the carb counts to whatever sweetener you are using.
