Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I was to be on my 2nd week of OWL and I started useing the recipes.I didn't know the difference actually. But I do now! So back to INDUCTION first thing Monday.I am going to eat only real food and perhaps some of the recipes that are allowed foods, like the cheeseburger quiche (now that was good) and it made six nice size servings, so I had my meals alread fixed for a couple days.I also very much enjoy the flan in Dr Atkins boook. But I use vanilla instead of almond extract and it is just like custard! I also re-read the book and see I can have cream cheese and cottage cheese on INDUCTION so that will be nice.I am bound and determined I am going to do it! |

I made a half batch of these this morning with the following twist:
1/4 cup almond flour 1/4 cup wheat protein isolate 5000 1/4 cup parmesan (grated) 2T cup butter soft 1 eggs 1/8 t. salt 1/2 cup chedder cheese (shredded) 1/2 cup colby jack (shredded) 1/2 cup 6 cheese italian blend (shredded) Instead of baking them ist before I cut them I used a cookie cutter to cut them ist then baked them. For the half batch I got 36 crackers for a total of 9 carbs. ![]() ![]() |

I made these last night...made two 1/2 batches, actually!
The first half-batch I made with cheddar, asiago and parmesean/romano. Delish...tasted like cheese-its, but better....but I ate the whole batch...bad girl!!! The second half-batch I made with Mozzerella and italian cheese. When I cut them up to put back into the oven, I sprinkled some onion powder on top of them, and the when I flipped them over I sprinkled some more. Delicious when I got them out of the oven, but I put them in a paper bag and let them sit overnight, and today they were kind of stale. Could you put these back in the oven to crisp them up again, do you think? They were so good the first night, but definitely needed some crisping the second day. Just thought I'd ask. Other than the stale next-day thing, these were delicious and a nice easy recipe!!! ![]()

It might be just because you used all soft Italian cheeses. I have not tried that combination yet. Anyway it doesnt seem like it would hurt to reheat them.

Hi Kevin - I just wanted to let you know that you have a lot of friends over on the main board that wanted to wish you a happy birthday.
It was from last week and I wasn't sure if you saw it. And, BTW, I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your recipe page. I've bookmarked it. I've been meaning to give these crackers a try...maybe next week when I have more time. If I have any questions, I'll let you know. Annie |

Hey Kevin - Happy late B-Day, by the way!
I had a question. Have you ever made a half batch and stored 1/2 of it? One half batch has a few too many calories for me to eat in one sitting, and I really want to eat them all when I make them!!! So I thought if I make a half-batch and then save half of the "dough" it may be good for portion control ![]() Let me know what you think! |

I personally don't like whey to begin with but the thought of vanilla in cheese crackers makes me want to gag thinking about it.

I was at the store yesterday and found myself hanging out in the snack section too long so I came home and made a double batch of these. What a life saver these are when you need something crunchy.
