You could put whatever you wanted in them but it is not like a pizza or calzone crust. Its more like a cross between a cookie and a pie crust.

My DD asked me to make her some filled cookies so I thought I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone and use this recipe subbing my latest flour mix plus 1/4 tsp. splenda quick pack for more of a sweet crust. They turned out with a really great flavor.

Ummm - those look good Kevin. I remember trying the pocket pies with chicken filling a long time ago and they didn't work well for me but that little cherry filled pie makes me want to take another stab at it!

My daughter says they taste just like the large filled cookies you get at the bakery.

Did you use the carbquik flour mix Kevin? How much did you use for this recipe?

Maryjane, I have for the most part only been using my latest mix but any of my mixes will work for this recipe.

I used the same amounts as the original recipe except for the splenda I added this time to sweeten the dough.

Yes that's it. I repeat though....anyone of my mixes will work.
