Started a new post since there seems to be a few of us!! Let's check in often and offer support!

I weigh in on Monday and am on day 5 today and doing amazing cravings are pretty much gone and eating well!!

Hi, I started Medi on 12/28/13. Lost 16 lbs so far! I love it! I lost 8 lbs my first week and have be averaging between 1.5-2.5 lbs each week. I have to lose at least 50 lbs for health reason but would like to lose even more than that if I can. Ultimate goal would be between 125-135. right now just focusing on dropping 50 lbs which would put me in the 140's- a good weight for my BMI, fat percentage and fat mass. The first week was difficult but once you get through it, it gets much easier. Thanks for starting the thread! Looking forward to reading your updates and chatting about the program.

Hi Everyone! I have also done medi before with great success. I kept the weight off for almost a year but then got pregnant. My son is now 6 weeks old and I restarted last week. I lost 7lbs my first week and have about 40 to go...I can't wait for this baby weight to be gone :)

I used this forum a lot the first time around and it was a great support!

I had shrimp too! Did pretty well. I had to start a new BP med along with my other med to lower BP since it did not go down on the highest dose of the first one. It is hydrochlorithiazide. I am a little nervous about taking this since one of the side effects is weight gain! ACK! Part of the reason I am doing this is to LOWER my BP so I don't have to go on the meds. This is so frustrating!

I eat the reduced fat string cheese as a snack and love it! I also love to take some turkey pepperoni and nuke it in the microwave so it is slightly crispy. Sometimes I'll take some of the cheese and put it on top of the turkey pepperoni so I can pretend I'm eating pizza :D
I learned from the first time that I was on MWL that I cannot have peanut butter in my household! I just can't control myself when it is in my house!

Good choices for indulging but staying in ketosis on SuperBowl sunday, Trish and Stacey. I have to really watch out for the nuts or peanut butter though because that can throw me out of ketosis if I do too much.

I will begin this Friday. This is how I may feel over the weekend: :mad: But it is SO incredible to say :hiya: and have your support and to welcome everyone else!! I am so excited that we will have this great comradery with others re-doing MWL. :p We know the Plan works, it has in the past. And once we got weight off we tried to be good but then old habits and stress crept back in.....and the result was: :weigh: :faint: At least it was for me. That was then....this is now. Hindsight is 20/20 and we just have to learn from those mistakes....with commitment to each other we can help prevent deception from the carb monster!! :up:

OMG...I started adding in Almonds. What was I thinking??? Help :annoyed:

I love crunchy salty things. My few almonds turn into a few here...a few there.
I have to stop!! Because last night, my almonds turned into a COOKIE!! :p

I also had the intent on getting to the gym this week, and that hasn't happened either. What is my issue?? :lol:

Either way I am putting it out there. From this moment on, this week, I will behave! There its on the internet so its true!

Hi, Still here. Just went in for my second weigh in and stayed the same...but was put on another BP med and my readings are still astronomical. 182/98. so going back in to see my DR. today. The clinic said to keep eating greens and yogurt, with the protein, not to take the stay slim or fat burner until my BP goes down. This is very frustrating!

One thing I have learned this time around, different then last time around is I do not for any reason check my weight mid week. Last time I obsessed about it and would check it every day! I feel much better not checking it and I always know I am doing my best (even if the scale doesn't want to show it). I would recommend to everyone to not check throughout the week, save that for when you go!

Hello accountability friends!! I weighed myself at home this AM before going to work (where I was going to weigh in and start challenge). But the secretary has been out sick the past 2 days and wasn't there today. I could have just procrastinated and made this all wait til Monday....but NO! I am in!!

Did well today. Will have to watch out to make sure I drink enough. I can foresee that could be problem. So, changing my avatar signature. Weight this AM was 196.5 lbs. My heaviest ever!! I was freaking that I may have been more. My goodness, I have put on 59 lbs since I reached goal in 2010. Lord, please help me to listen and make best choices. This is scarey to be on meds for BP, to have a risk for coronary artery disease myself (since just 2 months ago my Mom was diagnosed with significant blockage and received two stents!)I want to get in healthy NOW for time (in a couple years) that I will be a grandma. Let's go!! Amen. Again, thank you accountability friends!!

Staceylynne, Your weight will fluctuate throughout the week, so try not to obsess too much!
Deb, I hear you about being worried about your health. They have now put me on a third BP med and I see a cardiologist next Friday and another BP check on Monday to see how the new meds are doing. I also hear you about getting enough water! That is the hardest thing for me! Amazingly though I am not able to take any of the supplements I have not been hungry, and have a hard time also getting all the protein in.
Don't get discouraged- this time the weight is coming off for keeps! :) :)

Thanks for the support Stacey and Trish! I am at the end of day 2. Good so far! I have left overs from way back (Phendametrizine and MWL Fat Burners...took one of each). I will stay away from the scale until next Friday. I too have been used to checking every few days in the past, but then I would allow myself a cheat bite after doing well for a couple days. Not good! I did have SF Apple Cider to help with wanting something hot and sweet late in the eve. Probably not being as strict with week one as Trish was, this AM I had cottage cheese, and at dinner I also included a string cheese. We'll see if this approach gives me at least a 4 lb lose this week. Back when I went to appts the MWL doc didn't withhold milk the first week. I wonder if that is new evidence, or just your clinic. Makes sense though since lactose is a form of a sugar. I just cannot cut it ALL out!

Trish - I hope the cardiologist looks at doing an angiogram on you to check out your renal arteries. Please be really good and get this hypertension under control because that can be hard on your heart too in the long run. Have they done a sonogram on your kidneys? You take care my friend. Yes, losing weight will be beneficial for both of us healthwise!!

I just wanted to jump in and say hello. I am on day one of the medi weightloss program. So far, so good. I don't feel overly hungry but I do have a little headache. Glad to know there are others here going through the same journey I am!
