I will be heading to Amherst tomorrow. I have a Scentsy convention there at the college!

So today is day 3 and I'm feeling good. I had a slight headache the first night. Checked this morning and I'm in ketosis I have been so good about getting all of my water and eating every couple of hours. Really hoping I don't get that "flu" feeling that sometimes happens. What day did that happen to you if you had it?

Love the support on this board!

Happy Valentines Day to everyone!!

New this week

Hi All - was eating my turkey and mustard for lunch and watching my kids eat Chipotle (yet another snow day here in PA) and thought there must be some kind of support group online! This is my second time around - 40lbs to lose this time but so far so good. I am on day 3 - feel good until about 6:00pm and then I am ready for bed! Anyone have any solution for perking up in the evening. I've been going to bed at 9:00 - easier not to snack if you are asleep. Looking forward to having this board to turn to with good news and bad!

So glad to see new people! I work third shift so I do not have that issue, my issue is always getting enough sleep (i.e. now I'm not sleeping and I should be!!!)

Lizzy I'm on day 3 as well! I was tired around 9 last night which is not the norm for me. I usually have insomnia. So I went to bed lol....you're right about the sleeping and not eating!

6.4 pounds!!

Day 7 and I went for my weigh in. I lost 6.4 pounds. I've been feeling pretty good on the diet.

I just had my first carb in a week. Who knew how good 2 cups of lettuce could taste, lol.

Keep going....

Heartburn?

Hey everyone! Eating is going great this week but I have a question! Has anyone experienced heartburn? It started on day 3 and continued day 4 and now today on day 5 I have it again. Cant imagine what is doing this as I'm not eating anything spicy or off plan

I haven't had heartburn - but have had a burning in the back of my throat. I think that it is related to the vitamins. If I eat 3 big (ha ha) meals and then take the vitamins instead of 5 or 6 smaller meals it seems to help. Don't know if this will help

Starting Today!

So, I went to my Medi Weightloss Clinic the day before Super Bowl. Silly me, I started my Day 1 on Superbowl Sunday. I made it right to the end of Q3 of the game and then had chips and dip.

Today is my new official start date. I've been doing good so far today. Almost time for dinner. I've got 70 lbs. to take off and I'm determined.

Looking forward to sharing success, gaining support and helping each other make it to the next day!

- Brandy

Now that you say this Lizzie, I have the same thing so maybe not heartburn! LOL Maybe it is the vitamins. Prob since I'm not used to taking them
Thanks!

Ok Im on my 4th day and I feel like Im not going to make it, I get discouraged b/c I dont know what to eat, Am i eating the right thing, Calculating carbs/fat/sugars etc I wanna pull my hair out. I have bought everything and still feel like I dont have anything to eat.
Any recipes for 1st weekers? Ive grilled, baked chicken and shrimp, omelettes, turkey jerky, Im just lost sometimes. I feel like I have done good, b/c I havent had any sweets or carbs, but I just dont know. I can only have eggs, cheese and meats this week.

I also am having trouble drinking 80 oz of water a day, any tips?

I have had a dull headache since I started and am a lil concerned about that?

These pills are huge and my gag reflex is horrible, but i have been taking them.

Im taking the phentermine (appetite suppr) but I still feel hungry, is that where the water would help?

Im determined to give it my all b/c I know its for the betterment of my health and life but this is not what I expected.

Also when should I check for ketosis?

Im determined but its definitely not easy. Like they say "its not going to be easy, but its going to be worth it"

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I think you feel awful ( I had a headache and was very tired) for the first few days and then suddenly you wake up and realize you don't feel awful anymore. I am on day 7.

As far as meals go - I try to do something a little different each day! I've found if I scramble 2 egg whites with one egg yolk and throw some Canadian bacon and a little water - it makes for some fairly fluffy scrambled eggs.
I also make some beef burgers and turkey burgers - found that with some spice thrown in and mustard they are quite good.

I take a bottle of water with me in the car - I spend a lot of time driving kids around - if you drink it when you aren't thinking about it it's easier.

I think day 4 or 5 you'll turn the corner! Keep it up!

Hi

Checking in to see how everyone is doing! Today is my 11th day. I am doing ok and not feeling hungry. I have been bringing my food to work so I have it ready to go. It's a bit hard to get out of the "same old same old" with the food and that is hard but I keep telling myself to keep going.

I've started going back to the gym so now I have more protein to eat. Dear Lord, lol. Thank goodness I work. The weekend was harder than during the week.

Keepin' it going...hope everyone is doing well!

Thanks I will try to stick in there, I went Tues and lost 5 lbs in 4 days so thats a plus, I go back tomorrow so hopefully I will see some more progress and I can add fruits/veggies Hallelujah! LOL
Ive been changing up my food and doing a lil better, she told me I can get the grilled nuggets from Chik fil A or go to a BBQ place and get the turkey (no sauce). I think I will be ok as long as the lbs keep falling off.

Hi. I just found this thread and have been doing Medi for over a week. First week was actually easier than the second for me! I am getting kind of bored of the same things(plain chicken, eggs, turkey bacon), wondering if anyone has anything different/recipes?

The buffalo sauce sounds interesting. Is there a specific brand? BTW, I am from Connecticut too!
