It's Go Time.

Hello! My name's Bobby. I'm 28 years old, I'm a husband and proud father of two little boys.

I also weigh 409lbs. with a BMI of 54.7. Not proud of it, but I'm not going to sugarcoat it either.

And that, good people, is why I'm here. I took the first step to changing my life this morning when I visited Medi WeightLoss in Vandalia, OH. After years of trying to take the weight off on my own, I decided on this program after a few weeks of pretty heavy research. So far, I'm pleased with my decision. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I felt a good vibe. The staff was both welcoming and knowledgeable. The staff took time to get to know me, not just as a patient but as a person. I left the clinic feeling something that I hadn't felt in a long time...hope.

So, being that I work night shift, I began taking my supplements and the phentermine when I woke up this afternoon. I've also had my first "Week 1" meal of 275 calories worth of lean beef. Mmm, tasty.

I know I have a long road ahead of me, but I'm feeling like things can really be different this time around. So, thanks for putting up with my ranting and I look forward to sharing this experience with you!

Good luck to you both! I first started MWL in January 2012 and my weight at that time was almost 350 pounds. I lost 100 pounds by the summer but then lost my focus and quit in October. I thought I could do it myself, but I was wrong and gained back about 50 lbs. So this past November, I decided to go back to MWL. I'm so glad I did! I've lost 33 pounds so far. I still have a long way to go, but at least the scale is moving in the right direction now!

Good luck and stay with it!

Starting to get excited

VannishingGrl 01-31-2014 11:19 AM

Im 3 weeks in and 10 lbs down. I had used the program before, fell off the wagon, but now I'm back on. Every morning its go time. Being a good girl and bringing my breakfast and lunch every day. The evenings are a bit of a struggle. I tend to eat when I'm bored. So I've been thinking of taking up weights. Seems like something I can start at home till I'm a little more confident in my appearance to go to a gym. I might even see if I can get my son to help. But we can do this!! The fried, sugary food is soo bad for us!!

So, it's been quite some time since I've checked in. Life, and stuff like that. You know how it goes.

I'm starting week three of the program today. Had my 3rd visit, and I've lost 20lbs in the past two weeks. Holy crap, this is really working.

Staceylynne 02-06-2014 07:17 PM

Was thinking about you!! Wow 20 PDs in two weeks is so amazing

lesliedabbs 02-23-2014 05:06 PM

20 lbs is great! Keep up the great work! If you notice my weight, I have a lot to lose. I felt nervous going in to my initial appointment (FRIDAY)...mainly because of the large amount of weight I have to lose but also nervous to see thin people there and I was walking in.. haha... but felt better leaving because it is physician supervised and they were all super friendly and professional.

My first day was whoa... the pills... I was like omg I'm never gonna be able to take all of these. Today I've done better though. Just hope I can get them in tomorrow when I go back to work.

I'm in my 2nd week. My weigh-in day is Saturday, as it makes me feel more accountable on weekends and I can't get to a clinic easily after work during the week.

There's a disagreement between me and the Medi nurse pr about what my end goal weight should be. I think it should be lower than she thinks. We agreed to see how I feel when I get to a certain weight :)

Good luck everyone!

BostonGirl, I had the same talk. So I have "goal one" which is their goal for me, and then we are going to evaluate. My goal is about 10 pounds less, but still well within the healthy range for my height. But I'll still be pretty happy when I hit their goal! :)

How's everyone doing here?

I'm trying to be active in all the forums that I see are still participating! Would love to see them keep going.
