Just Started Medi (My Introduction/tracking)

HI!

My name is Kristen. I am a 27 year old mother of two. I have struggled with weight all my life. I had always maintained at about 150 (I'm 5'2) , but when I started college in 2004, the weight started to pack on. I started at 152 and have put on about 80 lbs. since then.

Last Tuesday I had my annual check up, and stepping on the scale, I was completely horrified. I was at my heaviest weight ever. Even higher than pregnancy. 233.4lbs.

I left there feeling really down. My 27th birthday was coming up, and I realized how much older i felt because of my weight. I have done EVERY fad diet possible. I lose weight, and then give up. I know that I cant do it alone. I need help. So as a birthday gift to myself, I joined Medi.

My first appointment was late Monday afternoon, I got my injections and Rx, but was told to wait and start on Tuesday.

So Here I am..

Day 1 was surprisingly easy. I had to force my self to eat, and had a surge of energy from the phen. I felt satisfied all day, and had enough energy for a good cardio workout.

I am really hoping this works for me. My stats as of Monday were

Weight: 232.2
Height: 5'2
BMI 42.5
Fat % 51.1

My goal is 150 initially, and then working to get into my healthy range from there.

Any advice, tips, support you can offer along the way would be very much appreciated!

Congratulations!

After the first few weeks, start logging your food on web site, use a food scale that measures to the gram, track your weight as frequently as you feel comfortable, don't panic over normal weight fluctuations day to day if you weigh daily, and have a plan for when you are hungry and tempted to go outside of the diet.

Exercise, somehow, even a little.
Drink lots of water.
Take measurements now, so when you see your progress in 1-2 months you can have something objective to compare it to.
Avoid cooking for others if you are tempted to taste.
Get rid of crap in the house you will want to eat if it is not on plan.

:welcome:
