Not in Ketosis and lose weight??
Okay so I feel Like I am ketosis I have all the symptons but it has never shown on the sticks does this happen and can you still lose weight if your not in ketosis.

Also, say I eat a carrot whic is like 8 carbs but I have only had 8 carbs of protein for that day (week 1) will this kick me out of ketosis?

Its so confusing to me. I restarted week one but I ate a carrot not even thinking about it because I have been pretty much in the last phase for a while. I am going to the beach and just need to lose one of two pounds. More so inches I am happy with my weight. Also, the more I work out the quicker I can get abck into Ketosis if knocked out???:confused:

I've read on here before that some people never show in ketosis on the strips but still lose just the same. Are your strips expired, or did you leave them in a humid place such as the bathroom? That can affect the strips. 8 carbs shouldn't stop you from reaching ketosis and it definitely won't kick you out. I was allowed 10 carbs a day my first week, and 30 a day after that.

You're welcome! And yes, typically the more you exercise the faster you'll get back in. Good luck! I'm sure you'll be where you want to be in no time.

I didn't realize that about the exercise, Jessica. Thanks for the tip. I go in and out of ketosis all the time. Good to know that exercise might be related.

Curvygirl, do you always test at the same time? The nutritionist told me that it can vary by time of day, how hydrated you are and how much exercise you've done. As long as I'm steadily losing, I usually only check once a week, unless I've eaten something that I'm kinda worried about lol.

I do check just about every day, but I'm often kicked out. :(
