Are there any vegans/vegetarians on here?
I just watched the documentary "Vegecated" and am contemplating a change (which would make my 10 year old vegetarian daughter happy!). Just wondering how you do it? I know there is a bit of info on vegan choices in the Medi journal.

I'm a vegetarian and have been for 15 years now. It's challenging on Medi, I think, but doable. When you are a vegetarian, you still get to take in a bit of carbs, so weight loss is slower. In the first week, I could still take in about 30grams a day (although I rarely did that much), and after that I've been increased to 45 grams/day. I don't know if everyone is different, but that's what I was told.

Ditto what CurvyGirl said.
My protein consists of protein bars/shakes, meat substitutes (Morningstar farms, Boca, Quorn brand items), eggs and cheese. It's not too difficult to stay under 20 carbs/day. |
