Medi w/o Appetite Suppressant?
I may or may not be able to take the AS...still checking with cardiologist. But I was wondering how many of you have done Medi withOUT it and how successful were you. Please share!

I've read about a lot of people on here not using the AS. And they aren't really that strong anyway. It can be done! Once you wean yourself off the carbs, you won't be near as hungry. But it does take time to get it out of your system, so don't give up! It DOES get easier.

I do Medi without the appetite suppresant. It is definitely doable. I've had to put my weight loss on "hold" twice because of my husbands job and how much we've had to travel so my loss has taken longer than I'd hoped. But it isn't at all because of not taking the AS. I took it the first few days, and realized it didn't really do much for me, and the long list of side effects were kinda scary to me. So I figured I'd try without it and it was fine, especially after ketosis kicks in. You'll do great with or without it!!

Ugh....in ketosis today but my cravings are getting worse. I'm really having a hard time. I hope my body gets used to this soon. Not sure how much longer I can hold off.
I think I definitely need to at least stay away from Pinterest for a while!!! Too many delectable looking recipe photos!! |

How many days have you been on the program? When I first started, the 3rd day was the hardest for me. I felt awful. But the next day was a little better, and each day after that got better and easier. Hang in there, you can do it!

Today is day 4 for me and I've really been struggling the last two days. It's good to know that this is normal. Day 1 was easier than this! Thanks, Jessica, for the words of encouragement!!

Yep, same for me. Day 1 and 2 were ok, 3 and 4 were the worst for me. From there it really got better, so I bet it will for you too. I've heard it referred to several times as the "carb flu". Definitely normal! Its just your body having withdrawals from the carbs. It'll pass and you'll feel better than you can imagine. And when you see your loss, it'll make it all worth it. You're welcome, were all in this together!!

Cricket leg -lol about Pinterest .
I have found a lot of inspiration, exercises, & low carb recipes there too. Look up paleo diet too. I read something yesterday that was very interesting. I'm not sure about all the rules about posting specific names. |

I was looking up low carb recipes on Pinterest last night and those dishes looked pretty great. I need to find out the "rules" about recipes though, so I know that I'm making something that's okay for the acute phase.

You can do it!
I did Medi in 2011 without AS and lost 60 pounds. I'm back starting week one (I fell off the wagon over the past 6 mos.) So, I really considered taking the AS since I just thought I needed the extra support. I'm glad to know it's an option, but for now, I'm going to try to do what worked last time. The fat burners and Stay Slim supplements act as appetite suppressants, so I think that will get me over the hump. It's rough. I know. I am only on day 1, but I will say that I know from experience that if you can get through this first horrible week, you will be so surprised at how the cravings really do ease up tremendously. Hang in there!! Let's do this!!

I can feel it---it feels like I have taken sudafed and the first couple days I had trouble falling asleep, but I don't think about food and I am not as hungry on them. Those 9 days I did without I was able to keep within the calorie allotment, but it was less "easy". Good luck. |
