**Outstanding October for MWL**
 
October 1, 2012. For those of us in Arizona, the monsoon season has ended. In other parts of our country, the Autumn season is beginning. All over the country, leaves are starting to change color, temperatures are falling into a more "normal" range, the air is crisper in the mornings, and it is getting darker earlier and the sunrise is later as well. The holiday season is lurking just around the corner tool.

This is a great time to set some goals for yourself to take you through the end of the year. More outside exercise. Walking is absolutely terrific in this weather, as well as bike riding, hiking, and football games. Anything that takes you outside and off the couch is a good idea. Think about ways to make some of those comfort foods "medi-friendly". You will find lots of good recipes in our recipe threads.:heart:

Prepare yourself mentally for all the food challenges that the upcoming fall and winter season will bring. And plan your "party strategy" now so you are ready when the time comes. You do not have to deprive yourself or feel left out - you just have to be prepared. MWL is a huge lifestyle change that takes time to get used to. Once you do, you are ready to go for life.:heart:

MWL truly is the one that works, and I know that all of you CAN do this!:heart:

Just a quick note for those of you that use the Shirataki Noodles, I just got a Groupon that showed them on sale for 24-8oz pks of angel hair noodles (plus $5 shipping) for $39 that makes it $1.83 a pack. Alot cheaper that what I have to pay locally. Don't know how long the offer is good for though.

I was finally able to go back to my clinic for a weekly appointment yesterday, after not going for about 3 weeks. I still stayed 100% on plan even though I wasn't able to go. I was down 7lbs, and 6 of it was fat! I also decided to lower my goal weight by 10 lbs. I hope everyone has a great week!

I've had a rough couple of weeks. I ran short on money and had to skip my appointment last week, and this time I didn't have a bunch of AS saved up like the last time I had to skip an appointment. In addition to that, I've been hungrier lately, which I blame on the cooler weather. I've gone over my calories by at least 200 calories every day! Then today I went to my friend's wedding, and I've had 1200 calories counting the two beers I had. I'm so worried what my results will be when I weigh in tomorrow! I'm still eating under 1000 calories a day (except for today), which I would think would still result in weight loss, but I just don't know. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Don't worry about 1 day! Just get back on track today :) even if the weigh in doesn't go exactly as you would like, just move forward and next week will be even better! I haven't made it to the clinic in a few weeks so I know how you are feeling!

Thanks! I lost 3.5lbs (over two weeks). I was expecting either no change or a gain, so I'm happy! And like you said, now I will get back on track! I'm now 18.5lbs from my goal!!!

I had my weigh in today and was down 3.1 lbs. I've lost 69.6lbs so far! I finally went and bought some new clothes.. I've gone from a 26 to a 16 in pants, and the 16 is actually a tiny bit loose. And a 3x in shirts to a L or XL. Congrats CrazyCatLady on being close to goal! I'm sure with getting back on track you'll have great week!

Thanks, congrats too you too! Don't the new clothes feel great? I went from a size 20 pants and 2X shirt, to size 14 pants and size large shirt (extra large in Jr's). It feels so great!

They do feel great!! I put it off for as long as I could, and its amazing how much bigger my old clothes make me look because they're so baggy. I didn't notice the change so much until I got the smaller clothes. Its so much easier to find clothes now too. Jr's section?! Wow, that's great!

I felt the same way. I didn't really feel small until I got new clothes that fit. And the Jr's section made my day, even if I can barely fit in the extra large! LOL! It's funny though, at first I thought those Jr. shirts were too tight because they were clingy. But now that I've gotten used to wearing them, they're my favorites! The 'large' shirts I got in regular women's sizes don't seem near as flattering.

Hello, everyone!

I just restarted the program this past Tuesday and already I feel so much better. i had lost 50lbs on it August 2011-Nov 2011, and "only" gained 10 pounds back all the way until I had surgery in July of this year. Since then I've quickly put on a lot more and I've just been miserable. Not only that, during a recent MRI I was told I have a pretty significantly fatty liver and if I don't lose weight I could potentially be in serious trouble down the road.

So, here I am ... and quite honestly am ecstatic. This is the only plan I've have such great success with, and in my reading up on NAFLD now I know why.

I don't have my first weigh-in until Monday but on my scale I'm down 6 pounds already. It's such a relief to see that damn scale moving in the right direction for a change!

Welcome (back), and congrats on the decision to make a new start! It feels good to be taking charge and making positive changes, doesn't it? Even more so when they're difficult ones!

New goal for me. I'm ready to get down to 125 once and for all. Goal is to get there by Dec 8 for Christmas with my dad. Really hard to do with the cool weather coming in! Makes me crave baked goods big time.

Eptexty: I am also 5'4" with a goal of 125. I'm not sure whether this is doable or not - frankly, I would be happy with maintaining at 130, but I figure if I can get down to 125 then I have some wiggle room as I figure this maintenance thing out. I have been losing and gaining the same 10-15 pounds for a few years now, but for some reason I cannot keep it off - and it's becoming more and more difficult to lose. GRRRRRRR! I am hoping this program can help me lose and then STAY at 125/130. I START TOMORROW - WOOO-HOOO!

Hello all, It's been a long time, but here I am again. I realized I was coming up on two years of this low-carb life but still have not gotten to where I wanted to be. I went back and started fresh today and have updated my stats. My hope is to reach my goal by November 17th, two years exacty from when I started. I know I will never really be finished, that I am a work in progress, but I feel like for once I need to reach the goal I set for myself. Good to see some familiar names still on here and looking forward to getting to know the newer members :) We can do this!

I ate a brownie today - and it was AWESOME!!! It was sugar free, but at 225 calories and 30 carbs, it was still an indulgence. I haven't had anything that decadent since I started my diet. I'm not sure I could have kept from eating them all if I hadn't been in public though. It really brought home why I have to limit these types of things to special occasions.

I just finished a re-do of week one and I'm down just over five pounds. I was sick for three days so could not really do too much, so I'm hoping that with more activity this week will bring a similar loss. Fingers crossed!
