I'm in my second week and I'm really feeling great!
After the first week, I lost 7.2 pounds. This diet has to work for me. I need to make changes. My father has Type 2 diabetes that he was diagnosed with in his early 60's. My sister, who is overweight, was recently diagnosed with Type 2 as well. I was told earlier this year that I was on the road to diabetes myself. This diet is my "fork in the road". I need this to work or I could be headed to the same fate as my sister. Once she started taking the diabetes medicine, she says that it's been even harder to lose weight. I can do this!! I know I can!! |

Hi,
I just finished my first week as well -- 7.8lbs off! I truly couldn't believe it, because I didn't "feel" any smaller, and to tell you the truth, I felt like crap for the past four days! ![]() I'm higher than I've ever been and am prediabetic. We can do this! We've already done that hard first week, so hopefully this week won't be as difficult (although more choices mean more temptations...lol! Good luck to you! |

Good work yall! And it does get easier, I promise!
I was in a similar position, I knew if I didn't make a big change now, I never would. So I researched various weight loss options for about 6 months, and started saving my money. Then I took the plunge and never looked back. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner! |

Thanks! I'm feeling strong. Weekends are the worst for me, because I'm either feeding the kids (single dad) or, when the kids are with their mom, I'm alone.
I showed a gain this weekend, but I'm going to guess that it's from salt. I'll show a loss this week, I'm sure!! |

Just drink lots of water and try to stay away from the processed stuff. That's what I'm trying to do. I'm worried after such a great first-week loss! Went back to the gym today and felt pretty strong. That weakness is NOT a good feeling. Amazing what a little lettuce and fruit can do!
Have a great week!! |

Good for you! I didn't get the wake up call until after I was diagnosed. A low carb diet, and exercise (even walking) after a meal have helped a great deal. I'm off all meds. You can do it!
