Second Week Weigh In Question
Hi there just had my first weigh in and lost 8.5 pounds! My clinic then told me not to expect more than a one maybe two pound weight loss for the second week but that I may not even lose any on week two....sigh. Seems discouraging. How did most of you all do at your second weigh in? I have quite a bit of weight to lose so the thought of a pound at week two feels like I am running uphill as I start my next week.

Hi Jennifer,

Congrats on finishing your first week! 8.5 pounds is a huge loss!!
That's awesome, Congrats! :jumpjoy:

I lost 7.3 pounds my first week, (most of it was water loss). At my second weigh in last Friday I had lost 2.4 pounds, however I had gained 3.2 pounds of water because of TOM (time of month) and lost 5.6 pounds of fat!

Everyone looses weight differently, but I think the more pounds you have to loose the quicker it comes off in the beginning.

From looking at other posts on here it seems like the average weight loss for people in week 2 is a little higher than what the clinic states-see below.

The program states that "On average, Medi-Weightloss Clinics® patients lose 7 pounds the first week and 2 to 3 pounds each week thereafter for the first month."

Don't be discouraged! You can do this!! Congrats again on your week 1 weight loss!

i lost 6.5 the first and .9 (yes, less than 1) for next TWO weeks.
.i would be lying if i said i wasnt discouraged. BUT i KNEW this program would work if i stuck to it. and it did. i started losing again week 4. i am someone who gains weight on WW and other diets...and this one DOES work for me. so hang in there! i am at 21.6lb lost in 10 weeks. which is GREAT for ME.

I think I lost 10 lbs the first week and then 3 the next. 11 weeks later I am 37 pounds lighter. There were a few weeks where I would lose 1-2 lbs only. It is difficult, but if you stick with it, it really does pay off!
