Going into week 5
I started week 5 today. I've lost 14 pounds so far -- I had already lost seven before I started. I'm not an AS and I eat at least 80 grams of protein, less than 25 grams of carbs, and at least 25 grams of fiber every day. I've found myself craving sweets, but naturally sweet foods are almost too rich for me now that I'm not used to it anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions for "dessert" options? Are there any recipes or secrets?

Proceed with caution but for me, treating myself to one very small piece of dark chocolate does the trick. I suck on it to make it last! I eat about 20 calories and 1-2g carb amount. It's perfect. The dark Dove squares are 40 cal and 4g carb each so I cut them in half.
It depends on you though. Some people can't handle having that stuff in the house. I am a chocoholic but if I don't have it in conjunction with say... cake or a pie crust... I'm ok. |
