Finished my first full week of my restart. I'm doing it on my own this time because we moved to an area that doesn't have a Medi clinic anywhere near me! Was happily surprised because I lost 11.5 pounds this week! More than I lost the first time. I noticed it wasn't as hard this time around. Looking forward to week 2

Congrats on all the losses! Wow Melissa -11.5! That has to be a record!

I just had such a good snack and I thought I'd share. So Delicious brand unsweetened coconut milk (1c) and a packet of Jay Robb pina colada whey protein. And 1 splenda. Really really yummy!

So I'm back. Had a couple of weeks off because my son, who thought it would be fun to spray paint the side of the highschool as their senior prank, was arrested. Can we say STRESS EATING? So I'm starting now at 134. Gotta keep on keeping' on! Have a good week, friends!

Well my weekly check in this week is unfortunately a gain of 1 1/2lb. But considering the what I ate Friday night I'm grateful it wasn't more. We went to a family dinner at a local steak house and I started out good, no bread and a salad with my own dressing. But this place has the best au gratin potatoes I have ever had so I decided to splurge, then I decided I might as well have a piece of red velvet birthday cake, just a sliver you know. Then a couple of handfuls of the peanut MM's that were sitting tight next to me. Think you get the idea. Went right back on Saturday but it was hard, I could easily of talked myself into just 'enjoying' the weekend and starting again on Monday.

I'm so impressed by you getting back on track Saturday. You are going to do so well on maintenance because that's what it's all about!

Erin! Good to see you are back!

I have had quite a stressful last few wks. Had surgery almost a month ago in which sinus mass was removed. Still need additional surgery, but I am SO looking forward to having this all behind me and stop having recurrent sinus infections. Initial reports sounded pretty scarey, but I am being told 90% certaintly will not turn into cancer.

Nearing being ready to restart my weight loss journey . Besides, local pool should open soon and I'd like to be able to swim again if ok with doc.

Ugh. I just looked at my nutrient stats and I am eating way too much sodium. Between low fat cheese sticks, laughing cow cheese, turkey pepperoni, fat free hot dogs, mustard, lunch meat, EAS shakes... that can't be good! If it weren't for those convenient foods, I'd be eating very simply and super boring. Anyone else having this issue? I don't know how to fix it.

I have found all the recipe threads. They apparently became "unstuck" somehow. I have asked the moderators to "restick" all of our recipe threads at the top of the forum. I found Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack and Dessert recipe threads as well as the comments and questions recipe thread. With a little luck, they will all be back in their "regular" places shortly.

You are most welcome, Erin...and thanks for finding the Drink Recipe thread. I totally missed that one!

I have found the premier protein shakes are better than the eas ones...and I also like the little mini clif bars too. The shakes have 30 grams of protein/160 calories...and the little mini bars have 100 calories...and taste good too. As much as I like the low fat cheeses and other low fat dairy..the sodium is high..relatively speaking...so I have pretty much left most dairy out of my regimen except for occasionally.

It surely is not easy. Those cocoa dusted almonds have two new family members...cinnamon sugar and dark chocolate/peanut butter. Theare spendy, and are mixed nuts...but the calorie/carb count is similar. And the one oz serving of those really helps get me over the hard growly times.

Ohhhh my word yes. The peanut butter chocolate nuts are amazing. I can't have them in my house. They taste like a candy bar!

I put them in one ounce snack bags, and into the freezer. Out of sight, and the jar gets tossed. No more than one little bag in any given day. I am better with the nuts in my daily regimen than I am with dairy for some reason.

I survived the holiday weekend and lost 3.8! Bringing my two week total to 15 pounds, I am shocked! 15 pounds in 2 weeks! I hope I can continue losing at this rate, I know I will not have another lose like week one (11.3) but I'll take 3 pounds a week! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

It is good to see some familiar posters. I don't know if any of you remember me but back in the fall of 2010 I lost 30 lbs with Medi. Life got a little crazy and with time I reverted back to all of my old eating habits and guess what? I gained back all but a pound! I tried the HCG diet which got off 18lbs in 18 days but then I got stuck. Rejoined ww but couldn't stay on the program more than 2 days because my carb cravings were so bad so here I am back at Medi with a lot of excitement, a whole wardrobe to fit in, and a new mission.

Last time I got frusterated trying to lose the last 6 lbs even though I was wearing a smaller size clothing than I ever dreamed of. This time I am not going to let myself get to that position. When I get stuck and I am wearing the size I want, I will transition to maintenance. I have lost this same 30lbs several times but I need to learn how to maintain it. This board was very helpful my first time around and I look forward to meeting some new people and catching up with some experienced Medi losers and maintainers. Day 3 of week 1 and I am already down more than 5lbs. WI is Tuesday. Can't wait to see what the scale says.
Most importantly, it just feels good to be in control of my eating again!

Hi there! I didn't want to create a new thread with this question so I was hoping someone here could help me.

I know Medi commonly causes constipation, but what if you have the opposite? To put it in nicer terms, I get a stomach ache shortly after eating at least once a day for the past three-four days. I've seen Omega 3 could cause this, but should I notify the Medi clinic? Any ideas?

I am half-way through week 2, and I haven't had any bowel problems beside the tummy ache. I feel like it has actually helped my problems that I usually face...must be all the water.

Sorry if TMI. =)
Good luck to you all this week!

Hi Erica!

Kristin, it probably is the water. Consider yourself lucky! Your body will get used to everything soon. As long as you're not feeling sick, I wouldn't think it would be a problem.
