Hi LTinNC! I am also on week four and I am trying to minimize extra costs so I don't plan on buying the food journal next month. Looking for alternatives for the meds (omega 3,vitamin and calcium) as well. Since week two I have downloaded an app on ************. It has a handy copy and paste option if you tend to eat some of the same stuff daily. And as a reminder for my pills I have been copying and pasting it on food notes. I know personally j just find it easier.
Hope this helps and you have a great week! |
thanks mrs d! i think i will try ************ before i buy a journal.
i will seraching the threads too for med options once my supply runs out. they were out of the omega, vitamin and calcium when i started, so i have a weeks left. i did rebuy the fat burner but at $25 a month i will be looking at the mega green t next time i go to gnc. you are doing awesome with your loses!! |
i have been useing my fitness pal and print out a weekly report when i go... so much easier, they even have the fitness pal app :)

Weight-Loss Program You can include in medical expenses amounts you pay to lose weight if it is a treatment for a specific disease diagnosed by a physician (such as obesity, hypertension, or heart disease). This includes fees you pay for membership in a weight reduction group as well as fees for attendance at periodic meetings. You cannot include membership dues in a gym, health club, or spa as medical expenses, but you can include separate fees charged there for weight loss activities. You cannot include the cost of diet food or beverages in medical expenses because the diet food and beverages substitute for what is normally consumed to satisfy nutritional needs. You can include the cost of special food in medical expenses only if: 1. The food does not satisfy normal nutritional needs, 2. The food alleviates or treats an illness, and 3. The need for the food is substantiated by a physician. The amount you can include in medical expenses is limited to the amount by which the cost of the special food exceeds the cost of a normal diet. See also Weight-Loss Program under What Expenses Are Not Includible, later. Nutritional Supplements You cannot include in medical expenses the cost of nutritional supplements, vitamins, herbal supplements, “natural medicines,” etc. unless they are recommended by a medical practitioner as treatment for a specific medical condition diagnosed by a physician. Otherwise, these items are taken to maintain your ordinary good health, and are not for medical care. I Just write off the whole program minus the food I Buy :jumpjoy: |
After four years working the program...I use a simple spiral notebook for each day's intake of food/water etc and note the supplements I take and exercise completed. Simple easy and inexpensive.

Do your journals have coupons at the back?
Mine has two: one that has $25 off my next acute visit and one free B6/B12 injection. The only stipulation is that I must complete the journal! It will make the $6 worth it to me. |
if my $6 journal had coupons like that i would certainly buy it! i have only bought 1 so far (one free when i started) but will need one at next visit. crossing my fingers it has a coupon!
