Will I get into ketosis with this meal plan?
Whatsup Low Carb Friends,
So I've been doing the Medi diet, but I am not doing it at a facility because of financial difficulties. I do, however, have Phentimetrazine and Medi Fat Burners. I don't really take the phentimetrazine, but I take 2 fat burners 3 times a day.
Any way, I am trying to get into ketosis, and back when I did Medi a few years ago, I dont remember it being this hard to get into ketosis. Is it because of my meal plan? Here's what I eat every day:
Breakfast: Ease Advant-edge Carb Control Protein Shake (110 calories, 4 carbs), Coffee with Coffee Mate Creamer (20 calories, 2 carbs)
Lunch: Usually another Ease Advant-edge protein shake, but sometimes I'll have Tuna (120 calories, 2 carbs from mayonaise)
Snack: Mozzarella Cheese Stick (60 calories, 2 carbs)
Dinner: Usually some sort of meat (Tuna, chicken breast, fish)
So I am eating around 15-20 carbs of meat, cheese, and protein shakes. Can I not get into ketosis with this meal plan?
I think you should be able to. Are you sure your testing strips are good? You could be in ketosis but not have ketones in your urine. What about other signs of ketosis (body odor, urine odor, decreased appetite, increased energy, increased fat loss, mouth taste)? If you really think you're not in ketosis, I would try replacing the shakes with eggs or meat and see if that makes a difference.
