Medi Weight Loss

Help!! I just started medi weightloss after all else failed. I'm on day 3 and I've lost 2 pounds. how much did you lose on your first week? Is it really true that some people can lose up to 10 pounds? I need help-- I's afraid that this wont work. Any thoughts??

Yes its true that some lose up to 10lbs their first week, some even more! I lost 9lbs my first week, and 19 in my first month. I'm on week 5 day 3 and down 22lbs. Nothing else has worked for me before. Medi definitely works! Just follow the plan and you will be successful! Good luck!

Thanks for your response. I'm just so afraid that its not going to work for me, just cause nothing in the past has. I'm on day 3 today and so far I've lost 2pds. I couldn't even eat the entire 500 recommended calories. How important are the electrolyte drinks? I haven't been doing them. Any advice? I have 75 to lose.

I'm not really sure how important the electrolyte drinks are. I think you can get leg craps if you don't drink them. I try to have both but sometimes I don't and it hasn't affected me yet. The 500 calories is very important though. You need the 500 protein cals so your body doesn't go into starvation mode, or burn off your lean muscle instead of fat. The only advice I really have is follow the plan exactly, work out once they say you can, I lose a lot more fat mass when I exercise. I started out with 113 to lose. I was so afraid it wouldn't work too. Now I believe that it does 100%. And don't hesitate to ask your clinic any questions you may have, that's what they're there for! And keep posting here! I also go for the 2nd shot mid-week. I think it helps. You can do it!

Throw the scale away it will only make you worry

after a couple of weeks if you want to bring out the scale only check once a week. I like the surprise and the suspense of not knowing what I lost

Do you think on the BIG LOSER they weigh in every day

and good luck

I am on week 1 felt bad on day 2 but now on day 4 and going to get mid week shot

I also drink a gallon of liquid a day in which 96 oz of water and 32oz of electrolytes

Thank you for the words of encouragement. Do I need to go in for the mid-week shot? I was told it was only necessary if I felt kind of sluggish. Should I go in anyway, even if I don't feel "down" @ all? Its Fri. and I go in Tuesday for my first week visit. I really need/ appreciate the advice.

I am on week 8, As of last Monday I have lost 17.6 lbs, most of that is fat. The first week is rough, but its worth it to stick it out... I Lost 6.2 on week 1. Its only one week! Once you get to week 2 you can add a few more things back in (veggies, maybe fruit). Read through all the info here, ask questions and stick with it! Good luck and welcome!!

I always try to go for the mid week shot if I'm able to. The first few weeks I did both shots twice a week. I was told they have to be spaced out by 48 hours from your weekly injections and the mid week ones. Its completely optional though. You'll do great either way!

I'm at the end of DAY 4 and down 3.5 lbs. Are you supposed to exercise at all during the first week?

They told me not to the first week. I really didn't start exercising until week 3, the handout for that week was on exercise. I weigh at home every day, I know some people say you shouldn't but I do. Its great to see the way it breaks down on their scale though.

My clinic told me not to, but I did go to 2 of my Karate classes and by the end I was a bit light headed. If you do plan to work out as some have just be cautious during week one.

Fataway welcome!! First yes... Get your 500 calories in...that is a must!! No exercise the first week... I usually get the shots twice but missed this weeks second dose. I agree with Andy throw the scale away...it will only drive you crazy!!! I drink smart water everyday..it helps the leg cramps and if i feel lightheaded. I lost 10.7 lbs the first week. I hope you do well keep us posted!!!

New question: Does the scale in the Medi Weight Loss Center automatically deduct the weight of your clothes? My understanding is that it measures only body weight and not the weight of anything that's placed on it. Am I right? Because that would add another couple of pounds to this weeks grand total. Do let me know!

At my clinic, they have told me that their scales are adjusted to deduct 2 lbs from the weight to take into account the weight of your clothes.

I haven't asked at my clinic if the scale takes off anything for clothes or not. Their scale does match up with mine at home though, within a few oz's.

My clinic deducts 2 for clothes. I am going to have to change to morning visits soon too vs. after work... that should be a fun day
I am glad your reassured, I was scared and skeptical at first too, but its amazing when you work the plan. (as you can see from aim in Fla !! )
