I would suggest that you google Jerome Biggars. He lost 300 pounds on MWL and now is a spokesman for them He looks terrific and his is a totally amazing story!

He is amazing! He lost so much weight in such a short period of time!

This afternoon is my weigh-in. I'm hoping those 20 min walks each day helped. Of course, my home scale doesn't seem to have moved much but it never agrees with the clinic scale.

Good luck today MathSci! I weigh in today too. I've noticed the weeks that my scale at home hasn't moved much, on their scale I've actually lost a good amount of fat but gained water. I'm sure the walks have helped a lot!

Hope you had a great weigh-in, Jessica!

I only dropped half a pound this week! So frustrating! All that walking and just 0.5 pound. And once again the Tanita scale gives me crazy readings for fat, water, etc. It says I lost 12.5 pounds of fat but gained 8.5 pounds of water. The PA even looked at my past readings on the computer and she couldn't make sense of it. I just need to focus on pounds lost! Oh, well... hopefully this coming week will be really good to make up for this past week!

Thanks MathSci, I surprisingly did! I've been sick this week and didn't exercise much so I wasn't expecting much, but I lost 5.1! I'm sure next week will make up for this one for you. I go back and forth too, with a good loss and then a small loss. Did you gain muscle? I know when I work out my FFM goes up and I don't see as high a number but still lose fat. Do you always get weighed on the same scale? If you do maybe ask to try a different one, maybe that one is broken with the crazy readings. Either way, its still 0.5 less and your definitely moving in the right direction!!

Chick-fil-A was always one of my favorites! My son and I still go occasionally and I just get grilled nuggets and a side salad. I miss the fried sandwiches sometimes, but its worth it!

Haha, Jessica! I didn't even realize Chick-fil-A had grilled nuggets! I knew they had grilled chicken sandwiches, but not nuggets. We had to postpone our dinner plans, but I'll have to try them soon!

yep they're new! They don't show them on the regular menu, just on the kids, but they do still have them for the regular combo too. I think all it is is their grilled chicken patty cut up haha. My son and I ended up eating there tonight!

Hi everyone, weighed in today after spending 5 days at Disney with my family! Eek! I stayed on-plan as much as possible while at the parks but of course they don't give ANY calorie information for their meals, so I played it safe with salads with grilled meats, roasted chicken and veggies, and water/diet soda. Only lost 1/2 a pound but I was actually thrilled not to have gained since I had NO idea what the calorie counts were!

Glad to be back home with more control over my food options! My goal this week is to kick my exercise up and hopefully make it over 40 pounds down when I weigh in next Thursday

Much better weigh-in this week! I lost 4.5 lbs! (Last week it was just 0.5 lbs) So at the end of 8 weeks, I have lost a total of 42.8 lbs. My blood pressure was also a little better this week - 128/76. I only got one walk in this past week but there were a couple days that I was a little more active than normal. Plus, I drank a ton of water - which means I got some more exercise walking to the bathroom so many times!

Spring break is two weeks from this coming Friday and I'm really hoping I can lose over 6 lbs by then so I can be in the 200's! I'm not going anywhere for that week off, but just thought it would be a nice goal to reach by then. I haven't seen the 200's in several years!

Hope everyone has some good weigh-ins this week!

Congratulations MathSci!!! 42.8 in 8 weeks is amazing. You must feel incredible! Today is my last day of week #2. I weigh in tomorrow and can't wait! Do you recall what's different about week #3?

Thanks! I've got a long way to go, but I do feel so much better. I can actually walk without getting winded right away and it makes me want to go out and do more things.

Ever since the end of week 1, my diet has been the same. I don't remember anything changing when I got to the 3rd week. My protein range is to be between 500-650 (on the higher end of the range if I am exercising), carbs must be below 35 grams, 2 servings of vegetables (1 serving is 1 cup raw or 1/2 cup cooked) OR 1 serving of vegetables and 1 fruit, and 100 grams of "good fat" (which for me is either salad dressing if I'm having salad as my vegetable or a tablespoon of peanut butter if I'm not). It was probably week #3 that they really got on me about exercising (and they still do because I'm not very good at that!).

Good luck at your weigh-in tomorrow!

Week #3 I was told to increase exercise and increase veggies. Has anyone else been told to up their veggies from the 2 servings? They told me on week 3, and then again last night during my weigh in.

My clinic definitely focuses on exercise, and my guess it that once you begin regular exercise they will want you to be sure to replace those calories burned with either veggies or protein.

OK, so I weigh myself EVERY morning (I know, we're not supposed to do that) and I am SO frustrated because the scale has NOT budged since Thursday! My eating has been on-plan, drinking plenty of fluids, and I even went to yoga on Friday morning for the first time in forever. Arrgghhh!!! Going to be sure to exercise this afternoon but I will be so frustrated if it keeps not-moving!

Great job, Andy! And I'm impressed by that 5 mile walk!

And Mommy-2-girls, keep doing what you are doing and the pounds will come off! We all have off weeks where, for some reason, the weight just does not drop, but then the following week is usually great.

I had my 7th weigh in last night and the nutritionist pretty much told me that veggies are 'unlimited' as long as they are raw or steamed with nothing added to them. I was somewhat surprised by that.

I weigh myself every morning too. I've had 2 weeks where my scale at home hasn't moved much, but when I weigh in I've lost a good amount of fat and gone up in water. I'm sure you'll do great!

Wooo Hoooo! Today is day #1 of Week #3. I lost 4 lbs at my weigh-in this morning making a total of 10 in 2 weeks. I couldn't be happier. You were right....week 3 increases exercise which I'm relieved to say I have the energy for these days. On top of that, my center has announced they'll be open on Saturdays! I've been driving 1.5 hours ONE WAY to my MWL Center every Tuesday morning. This morning's traffic (rain & funeral procession) made my commute 2.25 hours and 1.5 back to work....which still seemed worth it with my weight loss success. Holy smoke, am I going to sleep well tonight! Congrats Andyg!

Ended up with a good week! Down 4.6 pounds thanks to me kicking up the exercise the last 2 days! Hooray! Crossed the 40 pound mark! My goal is to be down 50 pounds by my cousin's wedding on April 21st. Right now I'm down 42.6.. I think I can make it!

My calves are throbbing from doing step aerobics for 40 minutes a day for the past 3 days, so I may take today off from exercise to let them rest. But it was worth it!
