Do Sugar Free products stall weight loss?

I'm wondering if sf popsicles, sf chocolate, Atkins bars etc., stall weight loss. It seems like I'm doing everything right and sticking to plan. But for a sf treat every other day. My ketosis was Moderate and now its Trace and that is the only reason I can think of...

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jenny

I seem to always be in trace to moderate ketosis and only go up when I am not drinking enough. I am not sure about the sf pops but the atkin's bars too often seemed to stall me when I was just doing generic LC. Try some time without and see if there is any change for you.

I never did measure in ketosis. Still lost anyway! Curious to see if anyone has an answer though.

Hi, Jenny. I use the Atkins treat about twice a week, but they don't seem to affect my ketosis. Of course everyone is different. A few folks out there have mentioned that some strips don't measure accuratly. A few times I went from high to trace within 24 hours with no diet change. Ive wondered if we should try another strip test in case one is bad.

I had posted the other day about being in ketosis one day and not from that point on, it was mentioned that keto adaptation could be the culprit. After reading some info I found that after a while with low to no carbs your body does eventually adjust and you dont spill out the extra in the urine thus the strips no longer change... I have lost another pound even though no purple strip... anyway something to check out. By the way, I made the almond cookies from the dessert forum and they turned out nice and they were easy Good luck hope your back to losing!

There are other signs of ketosis. The ketostix are handy, but you can certainly be in ketosis without it showing on the sticks.
