Hey all you smokers ... I got a question !!!
I know I know it's bad bad bad but prior to Medi I occasionally would casually smoke a ciggy now and again... Mostly with the girls and copious amounts of wine but these past almost 4 weeks all I want to do is smoke!!!!! More then I did even as a "cool" 20 something!!!!

Any of you feel this way or Is it just me!?

Week 4 weigh in Tuesday BTW.... so anxious and excited!!!

I'm not a smoker, but I do notice that I tend to want to revert back to my comforting behaviors when I'm on a diet. I think it's because being on a diet is stressful and when we are stressed, we want to comfort ourselves. I try to find a different way to confort myself and reduce the anxiety I feel - usually taking a walk helps - even 10-15 mins. Walking the stairs helps too. if I'm able to take a yoga class (after work, for example), then I do that. Also, breathing exercises can really help reduce stress and help you let go of the craving.

Good advice. Seriously. I am eating so rarely and I seem to be wanting to fill that time with smoking. Here I am getting all sorts of healthy.... And I take to smoking???? Yuck!!!

Thanks about tomorrow. I have not cheated even one time in four weeks!!! Having two little monsters eat their nuggets and
Mac n cheese!!! I've worked out almos every single day. I've drank enough water to drown myself in ... And haven't even smelt a glass of wine!! I'm hoping for some really good news. Really really good news!!!! We shall see!!!

I had the same thing happen to me with the AS. I went from being a 1/2 pack a day smoker to almost a full pack a day smoker. It makes me want a cig all the time. I know exactly what you are going thru. I chew alot of gum to try to curb the urge to smoke.

I am on day 4 of week 1 and I have noticed I started smoking more when I started the diet. Maybe I am just so stressed about wanting this to work that I have resorted to smoking more. Not sure!
