Hope all of you are doing well. I had my 3-week weigh in today and I am down 3.5 pounds. 3 of which was fat! I'm very happy with that.

Hi Jenny,
Made it in this week and I'm down 5.8 pounds over 2 weeks (since I wasn't able to weigh in last week). I'm happy with that! I was actually down 7.5 pounds of fat but it's TOM for me and I'm retaining a ton of water. Hope to see that water off next week

Sounds like you had a good week too Jenny! ONE pound to ONEderland for you!!

W/L buddies ?

Hi Jenny, etal,
Hope you have room for another w/l buddy & friend. I'm faultering slightly in my resolve because of, crazily enough, success. I started my new journey on Jan. 13th. after having gained back much of the weight I lost from Gastric Bypass. I'm doing an Atkins/RNY diet hybrid and have lost 20lbs in the last 13 days and am wanting to reward myself with food (chocolate to be exact) to heighten my happiness & accomplishment......sounds crazy, I know, but it;s an old pattern throughout my life that I'm determined to break. Any (kind) words of advice ??

Hi greasysgal -

We always have room for another wl buddy! Congrats on the 20 pounds - that's awesome. I know how it feels to think that you should reward yourself for a job well done. And you should but maybe do it with a non-food item...maybe a new purse or shoes or manicure/pedicure. There's also a good thread called "I want to cheat...do I deserve it" that you may be interested in reading.

When is your next weigh-in? Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Hi friends -

I haven't been on in a while - doing some traveling for work. Kept on plan even though my schedule has been crazy, which I'm very happy about. Had my 4 week weigh-in yesterday and I lost another 3 pounds - most of it was fat! I am at almost 14 pounds lost. I'm am happy with the loss but somehow I always wish it was faster. I just wish I could wake up and it would be 5 months from now and I would be at my goal weight. Ha! Wishful thinking.

I hope you are all doing well.

I am just about 1/2 pound under 25 pounds down in 5 weeks! Very happy with that. Long road ahead of me but I'll take it

Nice to hear from you! You are doing so awesome with your weight loss..Keep it up.

I must be doing something wrong...I think we started at the same time and I've only lost 15 pounds.

Do you think a SF popsicle at night could be stalling my weight loss? Everything else is on plan. I did have a Atkins bar once but that was it. I've also gone from moderate ketosis to Trace.

What do you think?

Jenny- I have a LOT more to lose than you. The less you have to lose, the slower it will go. You are doing just fine.

I would log everything you eat, maybe on livestrong.com, if you haven't already. I do use sf products regularly (Crystal lite, sf jello, etc).

Are you exercising? I really think that makes a big difference.

Thanks for the encouragement, Jessica.

My counselor told me not to exercise until I lose 20 pounds because we are just getting my diet down (in terms of eating the full 500 protein calories) and she doesn't want to have to add in more protein. I just think it's wierd because how can exercise be wrong?? But I'm following my instructions.

Jenny- That's weird.. my clinic stresses that we exercise beginning in week 2. I wonder if you could do a couple of days of 30-40 minute walks this week just to see if that helps. Moderate, nothing too strenous.

That's what I was thinking....how can walking be bad for me, right?

Btw, my ketosis this morning was back to Moderate. I made a conscious effort last night not to eat anything sweet before bed - no sf popsicles or sf candy. I guess I must be sensitive to sugar alcohols. Figures!

When is your next weigh in? Mine is Wednesday.

Wednesday for me too! I need to step up the exercise though. I haven't exercised since Tuesday because I've had a cold, but now I need to pick up the pace!

Hey Jenny, how'd you do? 3.2 down for me, 27.6 total. Still a LONG way to go but it feels good to start to see small changes. My goal this week is to get to a yoga class. I LOVED it last time even though it seriously kicks my butt. But it really changed my body!

Hi Jessica -

Awesome on the weight loss! You are doing a great job. Interesting on the yoga...my friend is trying to get me to do it with her but I just envision a room of incredibly fit women and then me!

My counselor at Medi is counseling me not to exercise. She wants me to get down into the 180s and then we'll look at working out. I think I might just go the gym a couple of times for some light cardio...that can't be a bad thing.

I was down 2.5 pounds today and it was ALL FAT!! I'm happy with that. My total now is 17.5. Can't wait to reach my goal...maybe before the summer begins.

We just booked a vacation for November to Turks & Caicos - wouldn't it be nice to walk around in a bathing suit and actually feel comfortable??? Can't wait.

Two big kids off from school for next three days - they always want to go out to eat when they are home so I'll need to stay strong. Eating out hasn't been too bad. There's always a good healthy option.

Keep up the great work.

I think you have your weigh-ins on Wednesday too. Just checking in to see how things are going. I lost 3.5 pounds today - 2.5 was fat! I'm excited. I'm over 20 pounds lost now.

Oh my gosh, I keep forgetting to check these boards!!

Weighed in today for week 8... down 37.4 pounds! I am very happy. Still a LOT more to go but it feels good

btw I start tomorrow, I'm excited and scared at the same time. It sounds complicated I hated Weight Watchers because it was too much measuring I hope I can do this. I love reading these posts.
