greek yogurt help!
Hello everyone..new to site. On my 3rd day with Medi. I have been consuming about average of 600 a day. I am not taking the appetite suppressants yet as I'm afraid of them. I have a few questions if anyone can take some time to answer:
1) I love greek yogart, but can not ingest the plain. Anything you can recommend that I can add to it that will make is desirable? 2) I haven't taken the AS because of fear that I will be jittery all day. Medi here in Los Gatos has the 3 tablets a day AS that are short acting that I'm considering taking instead of the all day one. Any words of experience on these? I check tomorrow morning to see if I am in Ketosis..excited to see! Thanks for your help! Linda |

Hi lindaincalifornia!
Congrats on starting the program. I'm on day 6 of week 1. I did the Greek yogurt with spenda and a capful of vanilla extract. It tasted like vanilla yogurt. Also, on the AS...I'm taking the long acting one that you take in the beginning of the day and surprisingly, I haven't felt jittery at all. I really think it helps with my appetite. You could always try it for a couple days and stop taking it if you feel funny. Good luck! Jenny |

I also found that I like the greek yogurt in place of sour cream on food. I put a few dabs on my omelet or on my fajita mix of meat and veggies. It tastes more like real sour cream in small doses than fat free or light.
Unless you are lucky enough to be able to get the ff/lite sour cream that has the "cow print" on the sides. Used to be able to get it in the northeast but not in the south. ![]() |

I found the plain greek tasted so much like sour cream I couldn't imagine eating it by the bowl. THEN I tried some MiO liquid water enhancer, Berry Pomegranate flavor, in it. IT IS DELICIOUS!!! It is a Kraft product and is sold with the Crystal Light, etc. I would eat this whether I'm on a diet or not, that's how good it is. And, since it's a liquid it blends very well with the yogurt.

I avoid aspartame so I don't eat sugar free Jello.
But since I do like the non fat plain Greek yogurt, I'm gonna try adding the Splenda and vanilla extract just for a sweet treat. Thanks for that idea ! |

MiniMomma, you want to choose the plain fat free greek yogurt. Anything with added flavor will have too much sugar.

Try it with Walden Farms chocolate or caramel syrup or dips and Splenda.
Delicious! And I never liked plain Greek yogurt. |

Bre....I see you live in the South too. I know that Publix has maybe 10 of Walden Farms products in their "diet" section. They also carry the shirtaki noodles with tofu. They aren't free calories like the Miracle noodle brand, but they are 40 cal. for the whole bag and 0 carbs.

So, I ordered the chocolate from Walden farms online..I can't wait to try it. I also bought some sugarfree chocolate pudding/jello and tomorrow I'm going to put it in my yogart to see how it taste! Stay tuned..
Also, at night when I have a sweet tooth, I have a cup of decaf coffee with sugarless sweetened creamer and put zero carb's whip cream on it..just a tablespoon, but it is yummy and satisfies my craving |
