How do you figure recipes?
Hi All!

I'm a newbie here, and there is no Medi clinic anywhere near me, but looking at the diet profile, this is the type of diet I need to lose weight, and I can do it as a vegetarian.

My question is...I tried a recipe this morning for the One Minute Flax Meal Muffin (delicious!) but I'm questioning myself whether it can be used during the acute phase, as it is not a straight protein or veggie?

Can anyone tell me how it fits in? Thanks! It is from the Breakfast Recipes sticky thread.

Here it is:

1/4 cup flax meal
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 packet splenda packet (I use stevia)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 large egg
1 teaspoon butter (I use coconut oil)

Put the dry ingredients in a coffee mug.


Then add the egg and the butter. Mix.

Microwave 1 minute (or more). Take out. slice, butter, eat.

A smear of Cream cheese would go nicely, too.

Notes: 11.1 total carbs, 8.8 fiber, for 2.3 net carbs.

The shape of this can be changed by making it in a bowl.

It can be "toasted" once it's cooked.

The cinnamon and splenda can be replaced with SF favorings, adjust to your liking.

Per serving: 235 Calories; 18g Fat (63% calories from fat); 12g Protein; 11g Carbohydrate; 223mg Cholesterol; 284mg

If it is on their page, it will tell you if it is acute phase or what. You may also notice that the flat wrap is there and you can have it... However the extreame wellness low carb wrap by Ole is less calories and carbs and delishous I ask and they said it was a good swap but only for once or twice a week... you can make wraps or a pizza crust with it and it is very good!!!!
