Yay for not smokin-its so worth it to not be a slave to an addiction like that (kinda like all those sugary foods!!) So on Maintenance do you just go back to an acute week when you go up? This week I will probably (hopefully) break even since my family had a bday party for me ... they were thoughtful, they got me a sugar free cake, but it still has carbs and some sugar... and those few beers ... Back to the grind tomorrow tho!! ![]() |

I must say that this thread has been great for me!
I am on Day 4 of Week 2 and feel great! This hasn't been easy, but so far so good! Down 8 at my first weigh in... Clinic says my goal is 30lbs.. I would like my dream which would be 42lbs.... It really helps to hear how you guys deal with medi and real life at the same time! And I must say that I chuckle about home scale vs clinic scale... I am on mine at home like an addict getting high on every little change downward! So far it has been down anyway... Fingers crossed. Home scale says down 10 vs clinc 8 however... :-( Please keep up your posts! It really helps! Any tips and or tricks to share? I was curious about the ostrich jerky....... Lol |

Hi Luckegirl345
very nice to have you join us!I havent tried ostrich jerky... I do however use bison meat for burgers and meatloafs fairly often. I have found some good recipes on the site, new favorites for my non low carb/non dieting husband and son. I keep on hand turkey pepperoni , baby bell light cheese, greek yogurt, sf jello, and almonds too (which I have to be more careful with) I hop on my scale every morning, it keeps me motivated.. 132.8 this morning reminds me why I dont want that junk food!! I am very aware that my scale is about a half pound lighter than my clinic So my husband is gone for another 33 days, I am hoping to hit goal by his return... 7.8 to go ![]() I can't say it enough, but if I can do this, anyone can! I have failed at other plans, this one just comes easy.

Hello Everyone! This is a great site! I am so happy that I found it right before I started Medi-Weightloss this past weekend. All of your posts have been very inspirational and helpful for me- especially the posts from MiniMomma and aim in Fla *Working, thanks ladies!!!
I am on day 3 of week 1 and so far doing ok. On Friday at my first visit, I weighed in at 179.5 at the clinic. I weighed myself on my own scale before the appointment and I weighed 180. Luckyegirl345- I am so with you about weighing myself all the time....it is a little addictive since the #'s on the scale are going down quick! Yesterday I was 177. This morning, when I first got up I was 173.5, then 176.5 after I ate and had water. Yipeee! I hope this is not just water weight? I am 5'4" and my goal weight is 125. |

I found this site before starting too. I had actually tried LowCarb a bit before but wasnt so good without having to face someone else's scale... Finding a Medi section on here was like a bonus since I was lurking around anyway !! Glad to have you with us, its not an easy journey but its well worth it! |

back
Been at 137 for the past couple of weeks, but this week I started week 1 again to lose the final 2 and boy is day 3 is killing me but I know that it will get better. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for toning up??? Happy with weight but baby kind of threw the tummy out of wack.

Hi all... day 4 of week 3... per the Clinic I'm down 11 for the first two weeks... but I got on my trusty scale, and YEHAA! I just crossed my 'next' milestone (started at 192)... my scale just told me 179! Had to share, and I knew that you guys would "get it"... nobody around here seems all too impressed. There is just something about getting to that next lower number 90s, 80s, now 70s!!! I am headed for the 50s for my 50th (this year)!!!!
Maybe it's crazy, but this diet is feeling too good to be true! |

You guys are doing great, i cant say alot about toning.. I could use some myself.... I do karate as my workout a couple times a week and walk some other days.
I am soo close to the 120s... its like goal is a teasing me... I try to remember that patience is a virtue, or so they say |

The good news is that you know what to do, and you know it works. I have had a few stalls along this journey but... it works!!! Bring on the focus

I quit smoking about 4 years ago, and it took me a couple of tries, so don't give up! I didn't think I'd ever stop wanting one, but I finally have. Just keep at it and you'll get there!

I am usually 131 but have hit highs of 135, all it takes is some days of being super carb conscious and it just falls off again. It's almost too easy to believe. You will lose those pounds before you know it!! |
