Now I am talking to myself! Yesterday went very well. Down 3.5 pounds. Only 5.5 pounds until my listed weight is true.

I hope everyone had a terrific Black Friday. Any big plans for this Saturday? DH has already deemed today football day... All day! Both of our undergrad colleges are playing their rival schools today.

I will be hitting the treadmill for 45 minutes today and some upper body weights at home. I am still following week 1 foods for 3 more days! Hope everyone makes it a great day!

Hi all, Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I did pretty well on the actual day, but have been of course ever since. I was six pounds from the goal I set and now I am off by at least a few more. Hoping to get back there fast and starting week 1 tomorrow. Planning to take a long walk and refocus on what's really important and where I want to be.

Congrats to everyone who had losses last week and stayed the course over the holiday!

Congrats to all who made it through the weekend!

I sat with my family last night at a restaurant while they all had gooey caramel chocolate deserts. Whew! I ate their raspberries. I did take one bite, could totally see how easy it would be to go down that road! Had an Atkins bar instead.

Managed to button some 14s yesterday!!! Little tight still, but hey, they went over my thighs and butt! It was soooonice to look at the large rack (clearance as I still have 30 to go)!

Congrats on your willpower (wish I could say the same for myself) and the new smaller clothes!

I have to shopping in my closet for smaller clothes.
If I can't find what I'm looking for I'll go to Walmart so I'm not spending too much on temporary clothes.

Weigh in today had me almost to goal, only .5 to go. I am really anxious about maintainance and apprehensive about the long term. I have the tools and I have the will power...at this moment.

Today I was down 1.5 total

- 3 fat
+ .5 muscle
+ 1 water

weight 135.5

Oh and the lovely hair-falling-out has begun in earnest....great....but hey, it'll grow back!

Good luck and continued success with all your weekly weigh-ins

I did also, until Saturday at the hair salon. Another customer offered to treat everyone to whatever they wanted from Raising Cane's Tenders. I turned it down and ate my protein bar and drank my water. When the orders came back and everyone opened those boxes, the aroma warted(sp) to me and I almost couldn't stand it. I made it out, but at my next stop, I searched for a Raising Cane's in my phone and found one a little ways passed my home. I pass that thing all the time and have gone stopped there even before I started this diet. I went there ordered the box and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I went online to find out the damage, it was 1125 calories. I was delicious but not worth that. I got up and dusted myself off and continued forward back on plan. I lost 1.8 lbs. at weigh in on Monday.

You all did so awesome with your post Thanksgiving weights! I usually weigh on Monday but I couldn't this week due to work so I am going to weigh in tomorrow and I am super nervous! I stayed in ketosis all week but I am so nervous I did not meet the goal I set for myself for week 2. I will keep you all posted... wish me luck!!

Swirve, we did this last year and had a blast. The best part is we went with only 3 of our kids in their early 20s and one lovely DIL. NO LITTLE KIDS! It was FREEZING but we are yankees living in the south so we bundled up and enjoyed the short lines everywhere on one of the usually busiest days of the year (dec 26th and 27th). My son then 23 grew up reading Harry Potter with me so he and I had the most fun!

EverydAy that I have checked it, it stays the same color (2nd from the left) on the chart. I'm losing weight by following the plan and that's what counts to me. Just sharing
Susie....same here. ALWAYS 2nd color from left and have lost weight every single week for 16 weeks. I also think its because I love water and drink over 100 to 120 oz a day and that dilutes the ketones or whatever scientific way of saying that.....
Went on vacation last 10 days so I'll post about that later, lol.

I have 5 wks of graduate school left and I'm swimming in papers, projects, and head-spinning deadlines (amongst the holidays too....my courses go right on through til 12/26!!) I will be jumping back in to swimming in the POOL instead in January and get this regain off, I'm actually up to about 170 again and just cannot get myself to post that. Stick with it when you get to goal....this time last year I was at goal and loving it.....then the worse of grad school kicked in and my life has no free time. Please, just stick with it once you are at goal!! Would love to hear back from you

BTW, do you have photos posted?

Thanks,
Debbie
Hi Debbie! I just saw your post now. Got back from my vacation 24 hours ago! I am 53 My exercising has been a brisk 45 min/2 mile walk 4-5 days a week up until a few weeks ago with the time change. I still lost 3 pounds a week those weeks though but don't want to push my luck. A month ago I started riding my new bike 3 miles round trip to work and back 4 days a week. Now its COLD so will have to either bundle up good or come up with other ways to exercise. I think I'll check out some videos. I haven't posted photos but will try and figure out how! Thanks for the encouragement to KEEP the weight off. I'll post about my "holiday" seperately

Sorry for all the posts....just catching up after 11 days visiting family and friends. The friend I visited hadn't seen me in 14 YEARS (crazy that we are still very close friends!) so she didn't really know how big I really got since I hid from photos alot. So it was fun just being "normal" to her and we had a great visit. The bummer was, after completely hiding my wt loss from my daughter for 4 months, just TWO DAYS before I got to her house, my friend posted a pic of her and I on facebook!

So my dd greeted me with a "I saw you on fb!! You looked so good I was stunned! " But in person she said, "wow, you're even smaller!" So yeah....awesome feelings all around.

Wanted to thank everyone for their honest posts, encouraging posts and all. I did NOT stay on Medi very well and my wt is up 3-4 pounds. I didn't go wild, just ate normal which included carbs and increased calories. I am sticking close to week one this week and actually woke up today smiling because I "could get back on track".....man is THAT a big difference with this WOE or what? I mean....I know this works and could'nt wait to get back to the acute phase of Normal!

What scares me though is that I am an "all or nothing" kind of person and don't like doing things "halfway"...which makes me worry about maintenance. I know I ate more on my visits because of that mentality. Need to work on that BIG time!

Another thing I realized today....I don't want to go to the clinic in two days to weigh in as it will only show my gain. (my original plan) Then I realized that I was stressing out yesterday and wanting to eat because I felt pressured to go. Once I gave myself permission to go next Friday so I could have 9 days before weigh in I got all excited to get back to the plan! I hope this will be a better plan for my personality. I'll get my shot on Tuesday.

Anyone think this is a BAD idea??
