Congrats to everyone for staying the course!!. It sounds like we are all off to a great week. I have eaten out very little. However, I have gone to Outback a couple of times. I get the 6oz. house special (I think it has been a bit). It is marked as being low calorie. I make sure to tell them I don't want it cooked with any butter or sauces. I usually get the house salad without croutons and cheese and get vinegar and oil on side for dressing. I also get steamed brocolli and make sure to tell them no sauce or butter. They have always been great with the order. However, I am never able to finish it all.
I go for my weigh in not long from now. I am hoping for a good number. I am ready to move to transition. My scales says I should be down about 2lbs. But, we shall see what clinic says. I had 8.4 lbs to go to goal last week. So, I hope to be closer this week. I have been doing the training for the C25K everyday this week. I hope everyone has a great day. Always remember even if you slip that you are SO WORTH THE EFFORT. Keep up the good work my friends and I will talk to you in a bit. God Bless you all!!! |

Weigh-in today went OK, down 3lbs of which 1 was fat, 1.5 water, .5 muscle.
I was hoping for more fat loss, but it is what it is. I asked about unsweetened almond vanilla milk and was told no? She said it was high in fat at 3.5g and 2g carb per cup and I was doing 1 cup per day. I think she was just uninformed on the nutritional value. Would you all continue consuming it? I think I will, but feedback appreciated. This was the first appointment where I really felt like I was being herded through and I didn't like it. I know there isn't much to discuss, but gee, they don't even ask to see my food diary or anything. I guess if you are losing, it's all good. |

@hyonlyf I find it intersting and also very confusing on how different each clinic is
Whats a girl to do? It is actually only 1 net carb I would use it sparingly if you are not getting fat from other products but keep note of it if you stop losing then you can take it away.Intersting you put about being herded away I was actually very upset last week that I lost only one pound. I felt as soon as I was in the room the girl that was with me just wanted to be done with me. She kept saying GREAT job! I brought my journal and have taken it out every week yet..not had one person look at it. When I asked her how I was doing and gave it to her she said YUP looks good! Then rushed me through everything and got me out. I find some of the girls are EXCELLENT and I pray I get them and a few of them are welll..not all that knowledable and make me feel like I am boring them. ![]() Right now I am confused and would like ask you all what are you doing? I was told at the clinic to minus my exercise from what I eat and not to go below 500 what are you all doing? I am eatting an Atkins bar a day but...have read on some sites that it could slow weight loss I am thinking I will save them only for once or twice a week instead of daily they really help me with my chocolate cravings. What about Vegatables do you count that in the 20 carbs a day? I am only allowed 20 a day so 10 goes to veggies I have not tried fruits I am too scared. It has been a month and I have not gone out of Ketosis yet. Anybody who is doing well any and all advice accepted. I have a 100 to lose and want to do this long term. Have a great week everyon! |

Hi CG I replied to you in other thread
Now you have me wondering should I be counting carbs??? I love Truvia but see that each tsp has 4 carbs?!!?? OMG is it allowed? I have lately been having terrible sweet cravings and thought I was OK with with my frappuchino creation 1C unsweetened vanilla almond milk 2-3 tsp Truvia, or sometimes Stevia, but Truvia tastes better *occasionally will use Torani SF vanilla syrup and reduce sweetener 2oz of Cool Brew mocha coffee concentrate found in dairy ice 1 tbsp unsweetened Hershey's cocoa powder 2 tbsp SF FF whip cream in a can calories 60ish carbs 5-10 depending on sweetener used no fat and I never eat it all cause my kids attack it LOL |

Okay, everyone weigh in today was great. I was down 2.4lbs of which 2.6 was fat loss and gained .2 in muscle. I am happy to still be losing that much at 37 weeks. I have 6lbs to go. I hope to be done by Oct.11.

Just a suggestion for those who are having clinic issues. Remember to be be proactive, you are PAYING for this. I found that there was a certain NP who I felt I received most help from so I requested her when I signed in. Just remember to change up every once in awhile, the input from another NP can be helpful. Ask questions, even make a list of them.
Then finally bring any problems here for any feed back. Good luck! |

I wish I had done thighs and upper arms measurements. The clinic did my waist and I am down 3". I am wearing clothes from the back of the closet and it feels so good I have a pair of now hideous Levi jeans that I wore when dating my husband that I would like to fit in again. Of course their unfashionable-ness would prevent me from leaving the house, but still LOL it'd be an accomplishment. |

How about asking me if I faced any food challenges that week and I how I overcame. Or tips on preparing family meals when I cannot eat them. I think I may begin to ask for a certain NP at my appointments as she was the most dialed in, caring one so far. I wish more members posted here, I think we could all be beneficial in supporting one another. I find it difficult to talk to others in real life because so many are themselves having personal struggles with weight and I feel like I'm showing off or something. Our clinic is somewhat new in town and it has become well known how $$$ it is so that's another issue. I am NOT a wealthy person and yet here I am paying a LOT of money to lose weight. It's kind of embarassing especially if I don't succeed. Does that make sense? |

First official weigh in since re-starting...5.4 loss! mostly water but that's expected the first week back. Feeling good.
I agree with FTM ask for what you want. You are paying and expect good service. If you mention to the DR. or Mgr. I'm sure they will accommodate you. Have a great day! |

OMG ... I still have my favorite pair of jeans I wore when I was 17! 10 years ago (when I was 29) I had lost 80lbs and was able to fit into them again ... and I hardly ever took them off! I have them front and center of my closet right now as motivation ... I can't wait to wear them again! And I really don't care that they are Gap button flies!! I would still wear them if they were acid wash! lolol |

Holy smokes!
Only about 15 of my 30 pounds gone so far is from fat ... 11 from water, and I'm guessing 4 from muscle. Which would probably make since because I was lifting weights pretty hard for about 6 months before I started the program, and haven't done anything but cardio since. Everyone is doing a great job ... it's awesome to read of everyone's success. :highfive: I've got to share ... lettuce wraps have become my favorite food. Romaine lettuce leaves stuffed with pretty much everything. lol I made chicken fajitas for my family the other day, so the next day for lunch I had cut up some chicken fajita meat and mixed in a little LF shredded cheddar and some picante sauce and stuffed some leaves with that. They were amazing! I'm pretty sure I could eat that several times a week. I'm finally getting to the point where people are starting to do a double take at me, and remark on my weight loss ... and start watching what I'm eating for lunch in the breakroom. It makes you feel so good! |

Christy-that is great that people are noticing.
The only ones that have said anything to me are my family (which is very helpful!) and my friend at the clinic. Look at your overall numbers too. Since they give the % water you can figure what that portion is. Let me know if you need help. |

Quick food that I discovered from here and thought I'd share
Plain Greek yogurt about a tsp or to your taste, of SF lemon Jello 1/8 tsp Truvia top with FF SF Land o' Lakes whipped cream tastes just like lemon meringue pie the Truvia has a very small crunch, but I really like the texture ...ok off to work... |

Only had one person notice so far! I probably need to buy a smaller size in scrubs! Meanwhile, I am waiting on family, friends and co-workers to notice my weight loss!
...SO, once I text my dh with my Monday morning weigh ins, I "only" have you all here to cheer with (or cry with, lol). Drumroll!! Down 5 pounds this week!!! I had no idea it was going to be that big, then assumed it was mostly water but the counselor said NO, FOUR pounds fat! 35 pounds in 9 weeks. I am trying to store up my WINS to help me with the lesser losses. This WOE can be trying at times but I am one happy girl right now. Thanks for letting me here!Hope everyone has a GOOD week! |
