I'm here!!!

Posted photo in album of DD's wedding....Mary, Rachel, Jo, faithful others....check it out! During these outdoor photos my Mom was seated on a plastic chair and my Dad seated on it's arm....I stayed close to make sure they didn't fall over! Guess that's the nurse-daughter in me....but I'm now realizing that in none of the wedding/reception/dinner poses did the photographer position me next to my bride-daughter or did she come to me, and I just kept thinking that it would happen "later". We had a wonderful time and she was absolutely beautiful...me too!

Newbies....there are before and after photos in there too....stay faithful to reach your goals!

That sounds good! Can't have cheese yet but enjoying turkey bacon.
I have to get more creative with food. That is one of my problems as a stress eater - I would grab whatever is easy. Thankful for lf string cheese!

Good luck to all in September! I want to be right there with you!

Thank you so much, Mary! I really wish the photographer would have switched me and my youngest DD (the one in yellow) so that I was standing in front of my husb, beside groom's mom, and behind my own bride DD!! That would have made that picture PERFECT! The assumption was that after friend photos they were going to have more family photos in another area, near where we stayed, and it ended up getting too close to the reception time and that got canceled! (The additional family photos that is)

Hope you are having a fantastic Labor Day....it's amaziningly nice outside yesterday and today....a break from the 100 degree weather~!

Good luck to you both! Get your booty ready for the shot though I'll be getting them again tomorrow so I will commiserate LOL afterwards.

I didn't find the first week to be too awful, and remember my mantra, "it's only 7 days". You can do it!

Gained 2 lbs this week. First time I haven't lost in 11 weeks. I'm not going to beat myself up about it though. I'm one less notch on my belt and have been at the gym every day. Sometimes our bodies just do what they want.

The first week was the hardest. I'm getting used to it now and it is getting easier. LosiIng those first pounds is so inspiring!

Am going for my 3rd weigh in tomorrow. During the past week I got a spider bite resulting in a steroid shot, prednisone pack, antibiotics, and antihistime. I have stayed on diet even tho I fell out of ketosis. Was a rough week, but hope I at least didn't gain anything back. Have also been lethargic and not energetic. Am not giving up!

Not to gross anyone out, but I think I just lost the 2 lbs I gained this week. I'm not gonna say where or how, but I'm pretty sure those veggies were the reason.

Thank you Irina and Betty!! The name of the color is "mocha" but it looks like olive green and brown with gold threads in it....all the colors that are also in my eyes! When DD came to visit me in Dec 2010 I was about 140, just slightly over goal, and fit into a size 10 of the dress, it was the first dress I tried on for her and she loved everything about it immediately so I bought it! Due to grad school and work, winter "making me" move exercising indoors here in the midwest instead of jogging outside, and poor choices, I went UP in weight and panicked I wouldn't fit into the dress for the wedding! I still had tags and receipts and bridal shop allowed me to exchange it for a size 12. I would like to be at goal again, but MWL clinic recommends I change goal to 145 so more do-able. I haven't yet done that. I'm determined to not regain!! But mostly, I'm happy that my family now doesn't look at me as if I'm overweight, too slow, and unhealthy.....MWL and especially this LCF support site (!) has helped me reach goals I wanted to reach!!!

Ok guys.. I want everyone to get motivated to stay on plan throughout all if this yucky, wet, dreary weather most of us are experiencing! Share your tips for staying on track during those rainy days, that most of us used to spend time Baking, gnoshing, laying around watching TV! I spend time trying to organize my closets, or scrubbing the shower! Neither is very fun, but keeps my occupied!

During the rainy days it can be hard to do anything. For instance, I needed to check the air pressure in my tires, but I didn't want to do it in the rain. Same can go for exercise or shopping for the right foods.

What I do to keep motivated in this weather is tell myself that it's not raining in the gym! While it can be annoying to go from the house to the car and drive in the rain, once you make it to the gym, it may be easier to spend more time there seeing as how you don't want to go back out in the rain.

As far as being at home, if you're gonna spend time cooking, cook a whole bunch of chicken and pre package out your portions. I sometimes like making big pots of chicken soup so that i have something to add to my veggies. Kinda mix it up a little y'know?

Well, I'd write more, but my boss just gave me crap for not working lol. Read a book, play some game, and exercise!

Week 2 weigh in today with 5.8 lb gone, total of 19.6 in 2 weeks (8.3 of fat)! I know this isn't typical and will most likely slow down in the future but still so excited. Plus it's getting cooler here, which means it's time to start running outside again. I've lost all of my endurance over the past months of not doing much so... c25k here I come!

First weigh in yesterday. Lost 7 lbs but 7.5 lbs fat! yeah!! Boy did that put me in good spirits!!

When I told hubby, he was surprised. He told me I looked thinner (he had been gone all week) but I think it was a shocker. I hadn't told him much about the program - now he is asking!

So happy to be having salads. I like the MWL parmesean peppercorn dressing. Got a box of dark leaf lettuce, and a boiled egg and 1/2 container of dressing - yum!

Congratulations Linds on your great weight loss!! That is awesome!! If you would like, there is a thread here called Energy In/Energy Out....you and other newbies can post your food and exercise so that you can keep each other accountable. Over the past two years it has helped me and many others! Some of the most recent posts are by those nearing maintenance, so don't be distracted....keep on YOUR plan! However, during 2010 I did C25K and eventually did 2 5K's!! It was helpful to be motivated by others consistently!!

This may be a dumb question....first, I have been in ketosis every single day from day 4 til about 5 days ago (so 5 weeks plus). I had some very low carb spaghetti sauce one night and my total carbs that day were the usual -13 to 15.

Since then, I havent had the spag sauce again but I get wierd ketone colors. Since I don't know what color a ketone stick looks like if you ARENT in ketosis, I don't know what I'm looking at. the first few days after the spaghetti sauce were obviously in "trace" but the last two days looked muddy like.

I gave up trying to MATCH the color on the stick with the color squares on the bottle! Any clues out there!

Also, would a cup of sauce at 50 calories and 4 grams cause that for days and days? Doesnt make sense as my carbs are always in the 13 to 15 gram range or even lower.
