Hi everyone! I'm new to the program, but I'm already finding this board SO helpful!
Here's my question: at my week 1 weigh in, I was down 10 lbs but it said 7 of it was water and only .6 in fat. I've been in ketosis since day 2, and followed the week 1 plan exactly. What am I doing wrong?! Do you put a lot of faith in that scale, or just go more by the general number and figure if you're losing, you're losing? Thanks! |

I have been going to the clinic for a couple of months now. I a going to have to start doing it on my own when this month is over. Are there any appetite suppressants that I can get that compare to the phentermine?

HELP PLEASE
Hi all, I need some help and my clinic isn't open so I don't know what to do. I started getting very sick last night and when I woke up this morning it was worse. I can't keep anything down, not even water. Tried to take the pills but it came right back up. I haven't been able to eat a thing, although I certainly have been trying. What do I do??? I'm scared that I am starving my body...

So many thanks!
I can not give you all enough THANKS! You all here are so supportive, and give the kindest words freely! I am setting sail for the bahamas tomorrow, and I feel so motivated by all of your wonderful comments that I KNOW I WILL STAY ON PLAN, I won't give in and eat things that make me feel depressed afterwards. I thank you so much for your encouragement! MEDI is teaching me to live life, love myself, and quit worrying about how "FAT" I am. Now I have the tools for success!

Just popping in to say 'HI'! I just got home from Jacksonville, where I finished my first 5K! I didn't run the whole way, but finished 50th out of 125 in MY age group of women! The race was HUGE with 6000 participants.....I think NEXT year it will be even bigger. It was HOT outside, even running on the beach with a nice breeze. I heard it was 92 when the race started! We had been lined up in the heat for an hour while the race sponsers all spoke
then everyone started at the same time. We had "chips" on our shoes that recorded when we actually got to the starting line, and again when we crossed the finish line. It took over a minute just to make it to the starting point from where we were in the pack! It was a GREAT experience, and I will keep working on my C25K so the next 5K I do, I'll be able to run the whole way!We also booked a cruise for Thanksgiving!

Congratulations Mary!!! Isn't it exciting to just be IN the crowd, jogging, headed for the finish line!!? I'm so proud of you, Girlfriend!!
Yesterday I restarted my C25K program. (For Newbies, I did C25K from about March til Sept 2010 and did my first 5K at the Race for the Cure, then did another one the following month! Then it got cold here and I stopped jogging....and regained 24 lbs) Yesterday I set my timer, jogged for a minute alternating with walking for a minute for 2 miles, 3 different times I jogged two minutes in a row. It is going to take a few wks to get back to where I was! (Got a sinus infection now too so my energy level is low). I know I'll get there! My friends have told me about a 5K coming up that we're planning to be in. BTW - I didn't gain anything over my Florida trip. And from re-start yesterday, today I was 2 1/2 lbs lighter! My new word is TRANSFORM: I want to transform my eating to healthy (not reactionary), my exercise to consistent (not all or nothing at all!), my internal self-talk (so I am honest with myself and more supportive of myself!), my prayer life (so I give my anxieties over to God....cuz, He wants me to!)Last edited by Fit2010; 05-24-2011 at 08:08 PM.. |

I'm continuing on with C25K as well, since I never completed the program before this 5K. I changed my avitar, and added a couple of pictures, even though my hair was one big friz ball......imagine what it looked like AFTER the race in 90+ degree weather (ON the beach with all that extra humidity and wind) Congrats on staying on track while in Fl. I hope we can meet next time you're here visiting! My BIGGEST challenge is my negative self-talk......I'm getting better at toning it down, but it's still always running in the background telling me to "WALK" when I still have it in me to RUN......the words "you/I can't" still permeate a lot of my background thoughts/noise......I will also work to TRANSFORM! ![]() Last edited by Mary T8M; 05-24-2011 at 08:58 PM.. |

Hi Karla,
I am a pharmacist and I know that there isn't anything over the counter that compares to phentermine or phendimetrazine. You could try Hoodia (an appetite suppressant), that works for some people--just double check for interactions with any medications you are taking. I hope that helps! |

Hooray!! For Mary!!
so awesome that you did your 5k! And in this Florida heat, wow you ARE an inspiration. So proud of youWell I'm still on the Medi band wagon, weighed in this week down one pound they asked me to do a little more exercise with weight. Two weeks ago it was to either slow down my workouts or eat more protein when I do workout. I'm still very confused and I to find the perfect balance and formula for my body. So off I go to the gym. Have a pleasant day everyone. Peace Tiffany |
