hey peaches! glad to see your update! i have not weighed in in almost 2 weeks. had too much going on with graduation and end of school stuff to get a way for the 3 hours it takes me to get up there, weigh in , get meds and get back. i was honest with them and told them why i would be away for so long. anyway, i am stuck at 189 on the home scales. i have had 2 meals out and 4 alcoholic drinks over the 2 weeks. i really need to buckle back down and journal and get on track. i missed 2 of my normal 5 work outs last week. this week, back on track....will see what monday weigh in brings. not sure i will see much loss. so hard getting back on track!

LTinNC you're doing good I get to the gym at lunch time 3 days in a row then I miss a whole week so that doesn't help. I was thinking of changing getting weighted to 1x every two weeks because it is so expensive, $86.00 visit $12.00 bridge and then there's gas but it only takes about 30 minutes each way. My journal ran out at least 3 weeks ago and each time I go I forget to ask for a new one and as much as Ithought I would hate writing it down it really does help and it's not so bad. I've stopped eating out because we used to so much but you just can't really do it well. Just have to keep on keeping on.

camiSWFL: Since you joined the gym how often do you go? I'm trying to add stuff to the workout but mostly I go on the treadmill and eliptical (which I hate) but I'd like to find out what I could do to get rid of some of the under arm stuff. It's funny since losing this so far the double chin/neck is gone it's amazing. Have any ideas for workouts?

I'm scared..
Clinic just called me and pulled me off the AS. They said my blood work came back and my liver enzimes are 190 normal levels are 2-45. I hope I can still lose weight without it I'm really scared. Peaches I'm doing 2 nights a week of zumba and body sculpt classes and 2 mornings of weight training.

I repeated mine 30 days in because my original blood wk my white blood cells was a little elevated. they charged me $35 dollars to repeat so I figured I would, did not expect that to happen, I guess it can happen with the AS. Will stop taking it and repeat in 6 wks.

Since I live in Staten Island I have to go to the one in NJ, in Cranford, this clinic used to be in Staten Island but they told me they moved. I work in Manhattan so I wish I could go here somewhere. Where do you live?

I was on depo when I had issues with my liver enzymes. I stopped taking them because they didn't really do much for me, and I was afraid of the side effects lol. Thank you!

Hello :)
Hi Everyone!
I have been researching this program for a couple of weeks now and came across this website. It was very helpful to read everyone's experiences and opinions. There are a lot of inspiring stories. SO..I went for my initial consultation yesterday, registered on this site today, and I officially start the first phase on Monday. I'm a little concerned with all of the pills I have to take because I am not a good pill taker. Other than that, I am looking forward to starting and making a difference in my health. Thank you! |

Hi. I got off the program due to famly problems (all health related) I lost 85 lbs . I am now going back on but cuurently live in an area not covered by mwl offices. Hopefully in about 6 months i can move back to my home town of Lakeland, Fl. My question is if a slice of ham ( as an exampe) is 45.6 calories abd protein is 4.6 grams do i convert the grams to cal ? Now if i have smoked sausage and it has 180 cals for 2oz and 5 carbs and 6 grams of protein do i use 180 cal for my protein or do i use he conversion table?
Thanks Bob |

Bob - For protein foods, count all of the calories towards your calorie goal for the day. You would count 45.6 calories towards your 600 (or whatever goal your clinic gave). For the sausage, count 180 calories towards your goal for the day.
Keep track of the 5 carbs separately. My clinic told me to eat less than 20 grams of carbs a day, your clinic may have told you something different. The 5 grams counts towards that. |

Hello...day 2!
Hello all, I just joined the Shelton Ct. Monday location. Day two and my butt is really sore from the B-6 shot!
I am trying to loss 35 pounds and I really like this forum. Will be checking for ketosis Friday. I decided to also try the herbal slimming agent. My first weigh in is Monday, so I will be writing this group to check in. I also joined the Medi-weightloss Facebook site.Take care all, Delmar |

I have my first appt scheduled for next Friday the 29th
Hi everyone - I have been reading your posts for the last few days and you are all so informative and inspiring. I have my appt scheduled in Johns Creek Ga location for the 29th. Any pre appointment thoughts you would like to share or recommendations. I would sincerely appreciate.
I have a friend who I believe is also going to start the program so it will be good to have a partner in crime so to speak. Thanks again and I look forward to "losing" with you all.... ![]() |

Hi everyone...I am a re-entry as of last Thursday. Starting weight 170.5...after week 1, I weighed in at 162.1 for a loss of 8.4lbs...cried yesterday because I was so hungry, but I feel much better after my appointment. I guess it is all worth it to see the pounds drop. Reading the posts on here really helped me through. Thank you all.

the first week is really rough, but overall when you get going its not as difficult. There are alot of great recipes here to try. I know you get a calorie limit, but I always found if I was truely hungry I could eat something on plan. The point is to eat things that sustain you better, not starve. If I went over my limit by 50 because I had a baby bell light cheese round or turkey pepperoni it didnt effect me the same as if I broke down and had something that kicked me out of ketosis.

Thank you ! That is really good thinking and makes sense.
Is it helpful to have on hand a food scale that calculates weight and calories as I understand the limited # of calories that I will be given for a day. If it is all protein the first week that will be hard to know calories of meat without one I would think. Thank you for your reply. |

New This Week
I just started today officially and so far so good, a little sick feeling today around 1PM, but it passed. I am not used to eating processed food with the sodium in it, but I guess as long as I drink the water I will lose.
In the past (2006) I was on the 6WBM and this seems similiar, but different I am sure I will make it to goal. The other program I was able to master and lose, so I am sure once I get week one behind me it should be smooth sailing. Any suggestion in getting the first week behind me? I am taking the herbal AS because I didn't want the other, but I am sure once I get into Ketosis I will not be as hungry. I am keeping my eye on the prize.
