Hello everyone!
I finished my 1st week on Medi yesterday. I lost a total of 8lbs. and I am pretty happy about that. Because of heart issues detected at my 1st Medi appt. and now dealing with it with a cardiologist I have not been able to get on the RX appetite suppressant. I've been taking Stay Slim and although it may not have the same effects of the RX it's not too bad. I've been able to handle it. I am so excited to add fruits and veggies this week and I am loving this website to try out new recipes. Good Luck to everyone! |

Brand new with MediWeightLoss
Hope I'm doing this post correctly. Have never done one before. Started a week ago and have gotten rid of 4.5 lbs. Compared to others, that isn't very stellar, but for me, it's hard to get the weight off and so easily put on, right?
Just want to have a few like minded people to help me and vice versa in this journey. Hope to hear from others. |

Yep you sure are! If you get a color change at all you are in ketosis. The color can be different based on how much water you drink and lots of things, and some people just don't show it at all. Relax, you are where you need to be!

Hi everyone!
I restarted the program this week after being off of it for 6 months. Never do that again. Gained back 20 of the 40 I lost. This time I'm sticking to it and will go into the Maintenence phase. Thank goodness my husband wprks for Boars Head where he purchases lean turkey, chicken and roastbeef @ discount!! I eat lots of turkey breast and talipia. Keep me full and can eat more but less calories. To settle my cravings I eat lots of sugar free jello. Powerade 0 is also good to calm cravings and refreshing after a workout. They told me no working out the first week so I'm just walking this week. Back to the gym next week. But I couldn't do it without the appetite supressant. I weigh in Tuesday. Feel a differenc e already!! |

Starting Again
I started MWL in November but quit after 5 days. I started the Monday for Thanksgiving and that was too difficult. I have an appointment on this coming Monday and I'm looking forward to it. I know this works because I lost 6 pounds in the 5 days I was on it.
I need to remind myself daily that I can do this and stick with it. Sue |

I think they would be since they are 0 everything, but I don't know specifically either way.
I know you can use them during the acute phase, but not sure about week one. |

That's good to know about the noodles. When I was in the acute phase before just fruit and green leafy veggies were allowed. This site is going to be so helpful!!

Hi everyone -
I found this website a couple days ago and have been reading all of the posts...it really does help to hear about experiences from others in the exact same situation! I just started the MWL program last Wednesday. Can't wait for my first weigh-in this week. I hope I'm not disappointed. I have been in Ketosis for two days (Large). Thanks for sharing all of your stories. Looking forward to a new me! Jenny |

Way to Go!!! I just made it through my first day!! I was a bit hungrier at dinner then I thought I was going to be so I ate a bit more. I was told at least 500 calories and no less and up to 650 or 700 if I was starving!! Well today I have 545 calories and not going to eat anymore tonight. I know I can make it through the night and be ready for breakfast in the morning. So far so good! Drank all my water before I even got home from work, so all tonight's water is bonus!! |

Hang in there. Don't think I could do it without the AS. It does get easier as the weeks go on and you become accustomed to the new routine of eating. We can do this. I want to be down 30 lps by the time I leave for my cruise in may 15th!!

I am on day 2 of my first week and feeling good, AS is doing its job without side effects. Last night I had my dinner then went to my Karate class and was hungery after... so I had 1/2 cup cottage cheese (as i hadn't got to my 500 calories for the day) it was like 8pm. Has anyone had issues with eating late?

@ Minimomma...I've eaten at all hours of the night ( just a snack) and as long as I stay within 500-700 protein calories I'm fine. I get hungry after my workouts so my clinic told me to take in an extra 100 calories on workout days. Think heavy eating late may effect your loss but not something like cottage cheese.@rudy....As long as you stick to the plan you can't go wrong the first week. I've had slip ups past the first week and still managed to have a loss. Your first appt will consist of your weight first, blood pressure ,pluse, injections and counseling. They will go over week 2 very thorough to introduce you to complex carbs (green veggies and some fruit). I tend to stick with the veggies because the serving size is larger for veggies than fruits. My clinic also told me that fruits may affect your wt loss due to the sugar content. But that's what I went through my second week. hang in there...You'll be fine!!! |

@ NURSE THANKS!! day 2 not bad...had a few signs of withdrawal, but I had to work at a very busy office today and was on my feet walking all day with not much sitting, a bit different from normal. Didnt realize I was barely over 200 cals before tonights dinner and by the time I went to the store for the family and got home to eat I thought I might "die" then I sat down and added what I had written down and found out I needed just short of 300 cals for dinner. But yes AS is the only way!! Good luck everyone!! We are on the road to health in 2012....and nurse you will look great for the cruise!!

Basically they measure you, weigh you, take a before photo. Bloodwork, EKG, a physical. Dr talks to you awhile and then you go to counseling about what to eat and what not to eat and how to read labels at the store! Good Luck!! I was so nervous when I went for my appt to, but they were so nice I felt at ease when I walked out! |

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to it - and so ready for some of this weigh to be gone! Its terrrible I lost 36lbs by running and watching carbs in 2009 and then just stopped and gained it all back plus a few more. Ready for some changes. Hope you all have a great day.

I'm on day 2 of my second week. While eating lunch i just felt as if I didn't want it. I do remember that I looked forward to mealtime when I was on the plan before and never had this feeling. I think it's a good thing and hope it continues!! Has anyone elas experienced this??

Hello Everyone.........
I started MWL on 1.4.12. Looking forward to my first weight in tomorrow which is longer that the normal 7 days for the second appointment due to my work schedule. I am sure I will see some results. Results are the only thing going to keep me going through this journey. I have tried everything under the sun to no avail. I am happy to report that even before going to my appointment for the "official" weigh in, I know I am down and I am excited about that. I could NOT have done it without the AS! I am really looking forward to adding in something other than straight protein. I need some variety. What I do feel is happening is that I am learning what true portion sizes are. The first time I weighed my taco flavored lean ground beef, I was shocked at how little it looked. After I ate it, I was fine. So, I have probably been ingesting more calories that I thought for many years by eyeballing portion sizes...........In anycase, I am on a journey. I am glad to be sharing it with all of you. Have a good week! ~Cheers |

@Regatta -
I'm sure you'll see a great loss when you go tomorrow. All your hard work in Week 1 will definitely pay off. Week 2 is good because you get some veggies - never thought I'd be so excited about celery! Keep us posted on your progress tomorrow. Jenny |
