Soy Flour and Thyroid Issues???

Does anyone use soy flour or know much about it? I have read conflicting opinions about the stuff and I would like to get more feedback if any of you ladies use it. I have read that it is not good to use it because it can cause thyroid problems and that is something I don’t need now that I am on meds for my thyroid already. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Has your clinic said anything about using soy flour? Mine never did. I even looked back to see if there was anything about it in the paperwork from my clinic....nada. I know on the main LCF board a lot of people use different flours (soy, almond....) I bought alomond flour several years ago when I was just trying Atkins, but never really used it. My suggestion would be to ask at your clinic, and if they don't really know the impact on your thyroid, ask them to talk to the DR., or see if the DR can call you with your questions.
I'm just keeping things pretty plain, but you may get better answers from some of the people who have done Medi longer

I use almond flour and coconut flour...but did not use either until I reached maintenance.

I am on medication for hypothyroid issue and I avoid all soy products as much as possible. It's a pain because it's in so many things, especially in the protein powders and bars that I use on Medi.
