Medi and Exercise
So... I've had a broken foot until now. I haven't exercised as of yet. I will hit 2 months this coming Monday, and as of this past monday I'm down 35lbs. If I start exercising while still eating 500 calories, will this give me success, or will this burn the muscle I currently have?
Trying to decide my plan of action... |

I've been able to withstand moderate exercise with no lean mass loss and without the bump in calories. I make sure that I take a small amount of protein - usually a 100 calorie protein shot with me to have for recovery after my workout. I know that some people like Cat who do a lot of strenuous workouts are on a larger calorie allotment. My range is 500-650 protein calories - I'm on the upper end of that range on workout days.
You can see your muscle / water / and fat masses on the chart on the statistics page of the Medi website after you log in. You should know week to week where you stand.
