My 2 favorite pair of jeans are now a little too big! I have noticed my stomach is much flatter, my upper arms look thinner... as well as my face! Also, less of that annoying back fat!!

Isn't it fun to rediscover yourself??

We ran into a former employee of DH at Walmart yesterday. She said she would not have recognized me without DH, and that she only knew it was him because she heard his voice! She just went on and on about how GREAT we look! I'm SO glad I had "done" my hair, and changed out of my too big shorts, and shirt before running out! DH has not seen MOST of these people since he was layed off last June, so you can bet this woman is spreading the word about us today.....wishing I was a fly on the wall!

I have gotten back into some Size 14 slacks and jeans from a few years ago...such a great feeling and it was only when I wore these slacks to work, that people noticed that I've lost weight.
I guess the saggy-butt pants, don't show it as much!

I have a closet full of 18/20's that are calling my name. I hope I can get into them within the next few weeks. I am down to a size 20, so I know I am really close. I won't be buying clothes for a long time so that size can get as baggy as they want.

Today at grocery store I finished placing items on the belt to buy and I stood to the side and pushed the cart through! Haha I usually have to back it up or push it forward but I fit next to it and pushed it up.

Yesterday I put my arms down at my side and I had a little space between my side and my arm. Ahhhhh the little things

My husband hugged me this weekend and said "wow you feel skinny" now mind you I'm no where near skinny but it still made me smile.

I don't feel FAT!!!

Hey, I'm still overweight by any standards, but I don't feel FAT anymore! I can cross my legs easier, sit in a chair and pull my knees in, and my breasts don't feel like 20 pound sacks I'm lugging around! When my husband and I ran into some colleagues of his that I had never met, I didn't feel like, "Oh great, now they see that he's got a fat wife!" I'm wearing clothes I couldn't fit for years, and it's just great to have so many people notice that I've gotten some of this tonnage off! Still have a long way to go, but I have to remember how great this feels so I'll stick to the plan!

I had two NSVs yesterday. 1) Went shopping for some new clothes and tried on a shirt I liked that was a size large just to to see how far I had to go until I could fit into a large. It fit! I bought it. When I started, I was wearing 4XL. 2) I saw my 8 yr. old nephew for the first time in about four months. He walked up to me and said, "I still know you. You look different but I still know who you are."

My skinny (for me!) jeans fit!!!!!!!!! So amazed to pull them down from the top shelf of my closet where they were actually gathering DUST. I had to go to a party yesterday and I thought, "What the heck? Let me try these on..." AND THEY FIT!!! Size 12! Haven't been able to wear those for FIVE YEARS!

I love this thread--so motivating!
Last week was my first week and I followed the plan perfectly. I even went with my husband and foster kids to a mexican restaurant on Wednesday and CiCi's Pizza on Thursday and I didn't eat A THING! I just ate my protein before we left and sipped on a diet coke.
A funny note: To avoid the tempting smells of the food, I just breathed through my mouth so I wouldn't smell them! (Hey, whatever works, right??)

Someone at church the other day told me that they hope to be as skinny as I am someday.....I just about fell over.

I also just bought a pair of bermuda shorts in a size 6. I've had jeans and Capri pants in a 6 for awhile now, but this is the first pair of "shorts" that I have gotten in a 6.

One of the trainers at gym just gushed about how great I looked, really made my day. I also am in clothes that I bought a while back but have never worn because I started gaining weight.

I hit up a bunch of clearance sales at the mall the other day and left with nothing but size Medium ladies' shirts... I've never been small enough for a Medium before!

I don't have to wear Spanx anymore to look decent in my clothes!! It's so nice to not feel like a stuffed sausage all of the time.

I love this way of eating b/c it makes me feel great!

I LOVE reading these posts! Here's mine: I didn't look (or feel, at least) like a chubby pig in my new (size 6 :-) swimsuit at our Memorial Day weekend cookout.... Actually it's the first time in years that I've had the courage to wear a suit around anyone except my hubby. I ate too much, and will have to be strict with myself this week. But, all the work this past 10 months has been SO worth it.

WTG How cool is that??? Size 6! I can only HOPE for that someday!

I went swimsuit shopping yesterday, and tried on about 18 suits and didn't buy anything! I was trying 10's and 12's. Last year I tried on 2 suits and was THRILLED to fit into a 16, and bought one! It's SOOOO much harder this time! I tried tankinis, but they made my smaller bust look droopier than it is , plus many of the bottoms made it look like I had a bit of a "muffin top" thing going on, so I went back to one piece suits, they were better, but seemed to accentuate the saggy skin on my thighs, and many were too long in the body........maybe. I'll keep looking

Hi Mary! 10's and 12's - that's great!! Last year I got a brand new size 14 tankini & it was a bit tight in the hips. Now it needs a new home. I have the same problem with smaller boobs, so I must confess that I actually got a size 6 tankini top this year and size 8 swim shorts.... Got a pretty good deal on Lands End through Overstocked.com.... No shipping & $20 off. I like the 3" shorts, but I too have that weird saggy skin on my thighs and above the knees. I always hated swimsuit shopping SO much and usually left the store in tears.... Things are definitely looking up, but I think I'm also becoming more accepting of my (many :-) imperfections. It was good to hang out in the pool with my DIL & GD and not obsess about my fat body!!

Mary, I am having the same problem with swimsuits. I finally felt confident to go swim suit shopping last week and left with nothing because they just didn't look right. I was trying on the 12's too. Gravity has hit my boobs with this new weightloss! I think a 2 piece tankini may be the way to go so I can "hike" them up with the straps and not pull it up too much in the rear!!

Ann, WOW!! Awesome job. Size 6 swimsuit! And you know those things run small. Congratulations!

Went shopping yesterday for a pair of capri's and bought two size 12s. Actually took in the size 14 to the dressing room and it was too big. Last year I could barely fit into a size 16w so you can only imagine how great it felt to have not be in the women's department and fitting a size 12.

Betty,

Congratulations, that is a milestone! You'll just have to get used to your new skinny self and smaller sizes.

yesterday we had to stop at the grocery store, and an old friend stopped us in the parking lot. Since we were in a bit of a hurry I left DH in the parking lot to talk, and I ran into the store. When I came out both guys were excited to tell me that as soon as I went in our friend asked Bill about "the woman" he was with. This guy has seen Bill a couple of times during his weight loss, but hasn't seen me..........he thought Bill had a girlfriend, because he didn't recognize me!
