Skechers Shape-Ups?

Has anyone tried Skechers Shape-Ups or Reebok EasyTone shoes? I tried on a pair of Shape-Ups and felt like I was standing on marshmellows. They can't replace a workout in the gym or walking in good shoes, but I wonder if they have made a positive difference for anyone. In a weak shopping moment I bought a pair (for $100) and now I'm looking at them still in the box and concidering returning them. Does anyone like these type of shoes? :kicking:

Only the sandals. Did not like the Skecher SU sandals. The Reebok easytone sandals are pretty good but can only be worn short amounts of time in the beginning. I have not worn any of the tennis shoes. Alot of the nurses and girls in radiology wear the skechers and swear by them. Another girl in xray wears the Reeboks and loves them better than any other shoes she has. If they weren't so sinfully ugly......

They are all the rage now, I guess, and I have looked at them and tried them on. They are a little less $$$ at a couple of different stores designed to discount famous shoe brands. HOWEVER, I walk 4-6 miles a day, every day, and would be in a world of hurt with those things. I buy Nike or Saucony cross trainers, and a new pair about every three months just for walking.

For just walking around, I love my Birkenstocks!

I have the Shape Ups and I love them! I wear them every day while cleaning house lol. I also wear them when I go shopping and stuff. I wore them on a walk once and about died when I got home, I was so sore! I don't know if they help tone much, but I do notice that my back doesn't hurt as much when I wear them compared to other shoes.

I have the Reebok "run tone" which are a spin off of the easy tone. The easy tone are meant for walking and not much more because you can injure yourself if you are doing a lot of exercise in them. I don't run but I wear mine to workout and for shopping or anything were I know I will be walking a lot. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They also look pretty normal. It's not obvious that I am wearing "workout enhancing" shoes. I do notice a SLIGHT difference when I walk a lot in them. You are forced to have good posture in them and the comfort doesn't hurt either. I thought about the Shape-Ups up too but they look funny and I found them really akward. I would highly recommend the Run Tones. I think I paid right at 100 dollars for mine.

My son bought me a pair of the AVIA brand equivalent for Mother's Day and I wear them almost daily on my walk. At first I found that my balance wasn't "the same" as with normal walking shoes......not bad, just not the same. After the first day I could really feel that they were doing something to my legs, as I was a little stiff and sore. I do have a chronic foot pain that I have had surgery for, so if that's hurting I wear regular walking shoes, but I REALLY like these. I think he paid just under $70 for them.

I bought 2 pairs of the sketcher sandals and took them to Italy with me. They are so comfortable, like walking on sponges. I hiked in them and wore them everywhere. I have them on right now.

I'm a nurse and nurse educator. I'd wear them (Skecher's Shape Ups nursing shoes) all he time at work. No longer working in patient care as much now with focus on grad school. But I was walking about 2 to 2 1/2 miles daily checking on my students 2 days a week in 4 ICUs and a floor unit....I felt like I had better posture, less back discomfort, and it really starting trimming my hamstrings! I like 'em. Just wish when I'd bought them that they'd other color options.

I wore them a couple times on long walk in the neighborhood, but don't like the "look!" Don't even think you could jog in them....not made for that.
