having a hard time eating 500 protein calories
I'm in my first week and I'm having a hard time getting to the 500 mark I just have never ate that much meat.
Those who have finished their first week, can you give me a run down of what you ate daily that first week. Thank you ![]() |

I used Laughing Cow Babybel Lite cheese rounds, limit 2 @ 50 cals each but they are 1/2 fat, 1/2 protein so go light on them. I also used Stoneyfield Organic plain 0% fat yogurt with Truvia as a sweetener (you can add cinnamon or something else for flavor). Just remember that you can't add back a fruit or veggie till week 2. The exception to that rule is pickles, but not a ton. BTW, welcome to the forum! You'll find a ton of useful advice! Read the Week 1 thread, it is a lifesaver!!!

![]() I understand how you feel, I am currently in week 3. I am not a big meat eater also. That is a challenge for me. I do the laughing cow cheese also with limits and boiled eggs but I was told to limit regular eggs to no more than 2-3 eggs per week. I also make egg beaters and egg white omelets with canadian bacon. I do this for breakfast. I also got the protein bars and shakes- limited to one of these per day. Some of these alternatives do help. In week 2 adding vegetables made it a lot better. I wish you success! Take it one day at a time. |

Just rememeber that the first week is very hard because you don't have a lot of options but it gets so much easier in the second week. Hang in there!

I didn't find it until the 2nd week, but what helps me is getting low sodium chicken breast (deli sliced) and veggie shreds shredded mozzarella chesse. I roll some cheese up in a slice of chicken breast and dip it in walden farms BBQ sauce. It is yummy! I too have had problems with protein because i don't eat fish....

you'll be fine, just hang in there. The first week is brutal, but you will start to feel better soon. Drink chicken broth, lots of water including some with electrolytes (like powerade zero). I ate eggs for breakfast, lunch meat for lunch, and chicken/turkey for dinner that first week. I am not a huge meat eatter either, but I just forced myself. By the second when you start eatting the cheese, veggies, almonds, yogurt.... it gets a lot easier.

Love Others and Mrs. PYou WILL make it. I'm in Week 5 and never thought I'd make it through Week 1. When you see your great results, you will be very motivated AND craving those vegetables you can have in Week 2. Day 5 of Week 1 was a hard day for me. I felt as if I had the flu, aching and weak. Be sure to drink something like Powerade Zero for the electrolytes. Here is a rundown of some of the things I ate during Week 1: (I don't each much meat, either and am a sugar addict.) Eggs with a sprinkle of low-fat cheese, cooked in PAM Tuna mixed with Miracle Whip Free and a trace of dill relish (no carbs) and seasonings Chicken, mixed as with the tuna Salmon sprayed with Salad Spritzer Cottage cheese with cinnamon and stevia Dark meat chicken (gives you a few more calories Whey protein shake with Crystal Light for flavor Chicken broth, fat-free (really a savior) Hamburger Deli turkey with Laughing Cow Babybel cheese Shrimp, sauteed in Pam with Mrs. Dash Kroger Carb Master yogurt (some clinics don't allow this the first week, but mine said it was OK, and it's DELICIOUS) Lean steak Best of luck. Just tough it out through Week 1. You'll be so glad you did! Nance |

Good job Nance! I ate pretty much the same thing daily during the first week because I just didn't feel that creative and because it was "safe".
