Also in RI!
I got the biggest loser scale for 19.99 at bed bath and beyond and I love it.

For a kitchen scale, I simply went to the housewares department of my local Fry's Marketplace (Krogers) and got a little scale for $6.99I use it to this day. I believe it was made by Salter. There are certainly far fancier ones out there, but this one does the job very well.

I love the Soehnle 65055. It is so cool it makes it fun to weigh things, and it works really well in both grams and ounces. Cook's Illustrated recommended it, and I agree.

I just use the medi one?

Debi -

I went to Target (in Lincoln, RI) and they had a few different models - I got the digital one by Taylor. I've used it for about 6 weeks, and still loving it. I love that if you put a plate/napkin down on it then turn it on it automatically zero's out for whatever you have on it, then I can add my food to that plate.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone!
I didn't get one from Medi because I thought I had one.. Then I figured I would just use my digital postal scale but you can't zero things out so wanted a new one..

I went Target and got the Taylor digital one also.. Love it! I am glad I got it because now I can use it for my puppy's food also.. He is on a raw food diet due to allergies and I like to weigh how much he's getting..

Thanks again!!

Both Salter and Polder make nice electronic scales that measure both oz and grams and have tare function.
