Severe Hip Pain, please help.

HELP!!!
I am now down a total of 30lbs Hurray.
But my hips are killing me. The more weight I lose the worse the pain is....Has anyone else had this problem? I thought if I lost weight it would ease joint pain. My back feels great but my hips and pelvis are bad.

I would advise you to bring this up with your physician. Your weight might have cushioned some existing degeneration of the hips or pelvis. Or depending on the amount of time you have been overweight, you could have become used to the asynchronous movement of the pelvis that differs from a mechanically correct movement. Now your body is probably straightening back up and you are not used to the correction in posture. It could be something simple, so I would just speak with your family physician and see what they say.

Sorry that sounded so clinical. It's the healthcare provider in me. I tend to get really technical when looking at a problem that needs a solution.
I hope you feel better and I hope you figure out what is going on!!

Is it your internal organs / muscles or actually in your BONES or JOINTS? I too would seek your doctors advice and if all checks out with him go and see a really good chiropractor. Let us know.

my counselor told me when I had the same problem that is is because the muscle does not have the extra padding to hold it in like it used to that ntil I got past that phase, it would bethat way. I did a lot of hip strengething exercises and that helped!!

I went to the Doctor Friday for the same thing you are describing. He said it was Arthritis.Told me to walk more and lose more weight.I told him I was'nt the only one who needed to lose weight he's big as I am.He laughed and said yeah I do too.He gave me a muscle relaxer and told me to take Advil as needed.Come back in a month if no better for therapy.
