Confused about weigh in?
 
Okay, someone help me understand this better. Today I weighed in and only lost 1 lb. However, My fat mass went down 4.4lbs. and my water went up 2.4 lbs. What could be causing this? Sodium? Hormones? So should I feel like I really lost more than 1 lb. since I lost 4.4 in fat? :confused: Because right now I'm not so happy with my weight loss for the last 2 weeks. The first two weeks were great and now its just so slow. What should I do differently? Thanks for any info!

Are you exercising? So you've lost 14 pounds so far? And you're disappointed? Maybe I'm just missing something. I lost big the first week, VERY minimal 2nd and third week, and then significant again in week 4 and 5. I'm pretty steady other than this last weigh in but I've upped my exercise quite a bit and had fat loss and muscle gain instead. You have to allow your body to adjust! Please give it time. I posted something similar on week 3 and I feel silly now! The weight loss really is consistent. Just hang in there!

Week 1: -9.2
Week 2: -4.2
Week 3: -1.2
Week 4: -1

Total 15.6

I was just trying to better understand the print out I got when I weighed in. I know it's great to have lost that much in 4 weeks. I was just hoping for more than 1 lb. this week. Exercise wise I am taking it easy this week. I hurt my back (had 2 back surgeries in 2008) and have had my sciatica return. Not sure if it was from over doing the exercise or carrying my 5 month old in her car seat. Anyway, I've been doing some of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and walking. But the exercise tech at the clinic told me to keep it low impact right now.

Those are GREAT stats! Just be patient and next week I would bet money your body will catch up. :)

By the way - your stats are almost identical to mine. lol So that gives you a good idea of what's to come! Keep up the awesome work, girly!

I only lost half a pound during week 5, but lost 3.5 week 6. Weigh just naturally goes up and down, due to all the things that you listed above, hormones, working out, water intake, sodium...... As long as you consistenly lose weight every week then you are doing everything right. Loss does tend to slow down a bit as the weeks go on. You will have big loss weeks and small loss weeks but it all evens out in the end. Keep up the good work!

i am sure its frustrating... your paying for a program to see the number not always go down. I know in a couple of weeks Ill come here with the same issue. But think ... you lost FOUR LBS OF FAT! DO YOU KNOW WHAT 4 LBS OF FAT LOOKS LIKE? google it, youll see some visuals. As long as you are going down just keep your chin up. And also think of the opportunity-cost .... if you HADNT been doing this diet for those 2 weeks you probably would have GAINED weight.

drink tons of water and powerade zero, itll work out in the end. Best of luck !

I only lost 1.6 the 2nd week .. my goal is 5 more this week .. doc says 15 is when clothes start to fit better ... looking forward to Thurs :)
