B-12 SHOTS AND COLON CLEANSING
Hi everyone - this is my first time on the site and I'm thinking about starting the medi-weightloss program.
1) Is the B12 shot given in your arm? Is this the shot that burns? 2) Do you have to take the colon cleaning? Could someone tell me about it and does it cause you much discomfort? ( I've never done that ) |

Suzey,
I suggest that you take a peek at the MWL website. Many of your questions may be answered there, also our Newbie thread has a lot of information as well. FYI, colon cleanse is optional. B6 shot is the one that stings. Shots at my clinic are given in the hip. Medical Weight Loss Clinic - Physician-Supervised Weight Loss - Medi-Weightloss Clinics Jo |

I am on the colon cleanse, but I am not getting another bottle. Worthless.

The B12 shot is the one you get weekly and yes, it is in your arm. No, it does not sting. I HATE shots and this one doesn't bother me at all. Half the time, I don't even feel them do it. I got the B6 shot my first visit to help get rid of some of the excess water. It did not sting going in, just made my bum a little sore for an hour or so.
I got one bottle of the Colon Cleanse in my welcome kit. I used the whole thing. No discomfort, no instances of me running for the restroom. They did their job, just were not super strong. When the bottle ran out, I went to Sam's Club and bought some HUGE generic bottle that says "Stool Softener" on the front of the bottle. The pills are MUCH smaller, the entire bottle was super cheap, and it lasts for months. Three before bedtime each night keeps things running smoothly, but again, not harsh or uncomfortable in anyway. Sorry if any of the above is TMI, I am tired and don't feel like going back and proofreading! Best of luck on MWL! I just started this program in January and love it!

I never really use the colon cleanse unless I need to - which is rare. All it is is an herbal stool softener because you get a bit constipated on this program.
As for the shots, both are fine. The one in the hip does burn more but it's short lived. I didn't even feel the one in the arm. That being said, I don't get either shot anymore due to an allergic reaction (rare) and my weight loss hasn't stalled whatsoever. I do miss the energy they gave me though!! |

I take all of the shots including the B12 twice a week and B6 once a week. I've gotten used to the sting, it's not so bad. I figure if I'm going to do this, I'm gonna do it 110%
I do take the colon cleanse. It hasn't caused any problems in that area, but this diet has made me prone to constipation. I've had to rely on Miralax a few times to get things moving. |
