I hate this! Had carbmaster's yogurt for bkfst. Went to work all motivated and w/ my spinach/strawberries/walnut/deviled egg in tow for lunch but NO lunch break....after 7 hours on the job at 2pm finally ate 2 oz of cheddar cheese as I was starving....at 3pm got out my salad to munch here and there but couldn't stay at it. By 4:30 I'd eaten 1/4 of it and finally scarfed down another 1/3 then threw rest away. At 7:30 pm ate everything in sight...bierock, potato salad, rice krispy treat because it was right there and available as I continued running at work. At 10pm finally got off work after 15 hour shift and NO sit down away break time, went to Taco Bell. I think my main thing is anger/thirsty/frustration no break and feel I have to survive immediately with something and no MYSELF moments in sight on crazy work days like these. Now looking at homework til midnight then work again at 7am. Welcome to my life!
![]() Hope you are all doing well..... Debbie

Hey girls. I've missed all of you. I have a new obession. Working out!!! The last 5 weeks I've been working with a trainer at 5:30 am so I am up at 4:45 and out of the house by 5. I've been off the boards since I am in bed at like 8:45.
I hope I can figure out more time to post and be accountable to you all. Keep up all the good work. Sara |

Really frustrated with myself again. I had a small cheat on Friday and Saturday nights. But, I already got back on track with food yesterday and even went to the gym too. I have to figure out a way to not give into the temptation when my boyfriend is having a bad cravings day. All last week he had cravings like crazy and finally gave in on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately I gave in with him, I need to learn how to just say no and let him sabotage himself. I don't have bad cravings until he starts talking about all the horrible food that we both love. I just wish he was having an easier time with this diet like I am. He seems to be having non-stop cravings and a lack of energy.
But, anyways, I just need be accountable for my own actions, even if I want to blame it on him Today 4/12/10 B- 3 egg whites plan on having: S- 3 turkey sausage links L- chicken with sauteed onions S- hard boiled egg D- 3oz hamburger with ketchup S- 1cup sliced strawberries Had to change my weigh in for Wednesday, so we'll see how it goes. I'm hoping for at least a 2 or 3lb weight loss. And hopefully I'll be back in ketosis by then too.

(Just 1 1/2 years to go!, just 1 1/2 wks til this research class with all it's statistics-yuck-is over!) It's been so beautiful here the past few days....cannot wait to get out for a walk soon!!
Congratulations Sara! It's good to hear from you again...and look at those #s!!! |

I forgot to check my ketosis level this morning so I checked it this afternoon for the heck of it and I was negative. I have not had this happen ever before so I am bummed beyond belief. I didn't want to start over with week one, but I think I'm going to do it again anyway. I am so upset right now because I didn't do anything any differently today than the last couple of weeks. I just recently gave in to fruit and have been eating about three strawberries a day. I also had a pack of those yummy cocoa roasted almonds. I'm just sick and sad. It makes me wonder if I've been slipping in and out without even knowing it. I always check first thing in the morning and I'm always in with a minimum of "small". Why is weight and weight loss so emotional? I feel like crying!!
Thank you all for your support!

I checked my ketosis level last nite before bed and was in trace, then this morning between small and moderate. I also hopped on the scale even tho official weigh in isn't until tomorrow and I'm down about 3.5 pounds this week. So I don't feel like crying today, but I'm still going to refocus and cut out veggies and fruit for a few days and limit, if not omit, cheeses for a while.
Have a great day! |

Lea, I didn't have fruit until after 3 wks...it just makes me crave carbs too much. I do better with veggies, nuts, and cheeses as my carbs. When I did start fruit it was in combination with my carbmasters high protein yogurt.
B-1/2 of high protein bar (20g protein and 6 carbs in a total bar), coffee S-turkey pepperoni nuked and then cheese on top L-other 1/2 of high protein bar + Atkins high protein, low carb shake Trying to increase my water today Difference too is that I'm taking my AS and fat burners. I think when I temporarily "give in" I decide not to "waste" them on those indulgent days. It really makes such a difference to plan, have TIME to eat, and take the AS and fat burners. No exercise til this class is over in 9 days....So many projects coming due all at once. |

Debbie, I waited until week 8 to start fruit, but I'm going to go ahead and stop for a while. I did notice my cravings increased. I'm better with the veggies and nuts as my carbs, too. I had a great day today regarding in and out.
35 minutes of biking B - egg L - turkey S - turkey burger patty D - chicken breast I threw in a couple of turkey pepperoni to get me up to 500 calories. Weigh in tomorrow and another day of week 1. I hope to be in moderate ketosis as well. |

Hey Thin, I noticed you haven't changed your stats in quite a while...are you headed down the scales? Or do the little splurges add up
![]() I feel a sense of freedom....today was my last day at the job with no lunch breaks. Still teaching my nursing students (love it) and looking for something NOT 12 hour shifts so that it will work with grad school schedule and allow me time to make it to exercise too! I have been yo yo ing on the scale and I don't understand why. I go up and down 3 to 4 lbs and its frustrating.
I don't cheat enough to me for it to make such a difference and I STAY in ketosis, so I am not sure the lc is working for me. I am in the longest stall ever and I am not ready to give up. But I think its because aside from the gym...I sit the rest of the day and sleep waaay too much. I just don't know. Today Slept till noon. L- Ch salad LC shake, but added half a banana (bad I know) and four strawberries. D- more Chicken salad and tea wasabi almonds Sat around all day ...tv

Hi Thin,
I hadn't posted my weight for a couple weeks because I was "anger eating" and not getting breaks so went up about 5 lbs....as of this AM I'm down 6 1/2. I'll weigh Monday for sure. No longer anger eating, just making good choices and trying to learn about emotional eating pitfalls! Looking to my faith instead. God is faithful! Sat 4/17/10 B-2 eggs S-1/2 Pure Protein bar and a few pork rinds L-4 Tequila Lime Chicken Wings (high protein, very LC), without the skin D-Lasagna without the noodles (lean hamb/mushrooms/spaghetti sauce/cheese) S-other 1/2 Protein bar, cocoa almonds Last edited by Fit2010; 04-17-2010 at 10:16 PM.. |

Good morning Debbie, Yes with faith and support we will prevail. Debbie did you start doing the hula dvd's? I am going on my third week of the Firm Transfirmation as of today. Last night I ordered that Brazilian Butt Lift Program, I plan to do 4 weeks total to complete the Firm program. I had my carb relapse last week, and I am over it now. This is my posting for now, more will come: 4/18/10 8:30am-6 slices of OM roast beef going to walk to the grocery store to pick a few things up before it starts getting too hot, then workout with the dvd's. Everyone have a beautiful Sunday. |

I've been increasing my workout time by adding an additional 5 minutes and am now working out every day. I think it's made a difference because I was down 5 pounds at my last weigh in. I was less than a pound away from hitting the 30 pound mark and hope to get that this week.
B - egg L - Turkey and cheese stick S - egg beater omelet and peanut butter D - chicken, salad, s/f jello Debbie - I LOVE those protein bars. I haven't had one since long before I started this program, but you mentioning them made me want to buy some more! Somewhere I saw where you posted the carbs, but now I can't find it. I know they're very high in protein and very filling. (and like eating a candy bar!) I may pick up a box next time I'm out and about! |

It's up to me to decide what my carb limit is daily. I choose to eat only 1/2 of the bar at a time. Do what your clinic suggests. I'm just glad to have found something that satisfies and works for me for now!
